Henri Lloyd Gregale Regular Shirt Xxl - Appalling Quality

Bought XXL Gregale Shirt on-line from Henri Lloyd. Never actually got round to trying on the garment as when I opened the packaging I noticed that the seam on the sleeve had not been 'finished' properly for pretty much the entire length of the sleeve, with the seam being very noticeably frayed. Cannot imagine how this item passed quality control, or perhaps this quality is indicative of their general standard. Very expensive for such poor quality; even at the sale price!! Would not recommend this item.

The Henri Lloyd Clothing Line Os Not Meant For Sailing

One of my sons friends did not have any proper sailing clothes and I have been pleased with and used Henri Lloyd clothes for decades. I therefore recommended the Shockwave jacket to him. He bought it in Westmarine, Florida in June 2012 for 300 USD. He is a poor student, so money matters a lot to him and he normally spend them wisely.

I joined the ship in June 2013 in Miami to sail back to Europe and saw the state that the 1 year old jacket was in. It had lost it waterproofness, looked extremely badly and all the zippers were rusted and broken.

This poor guy used 300 USD on your jacket and he had been wet, cold and extremely uncomfortable in the Jacket. I had to give him my own jacket (also Henri Lloyd shockwave) but produced earlier or in another batch.

I have been put in a bad light, and it will be the last time that I recommended Henri Lloyd clothes for any sailing trips.

Even tried to write to the "Customer Service" to help them out, but they just reply with "according to our rules...", "return it to the shop..." etc.

We are sailors going from A to B. We cannot return to the shop, before we have done the full circle :-)

Henri Lloyd Tp1 Smock Neck And Wrist Seals Disintegrate...

I purchased a white Henri Lloyd TP1 Smock. It was breathable and fairly waterproof. However the neck and wrist seals disintegrated after a year. I sent a picture to Henri Lloyd USA and they said to send the smock in and it would take 5 weeks to determine if they would do anything (despite obvious quality problems from the picture.) I also submitted a complaint to Henri Lloyd headquarters in the UK (ID HLC1047)and have received no response in over 8 weeks. At the same time I purchased TP2 salopette which is fine.

The whole image that Henri Lloyd tries to project as a quality supplier is pure bunk as far as I can tell. All they do is have their designs manufactured in China and they must pray every day that they don't have another batch of gear that generates more customer complaints than they can handle. I would never buy anything from them again. I am a dinghy sailor so I am not endangered by quality problems. If I were an offshore sailor, I would return every item of Henri Lloyd gear I owned and buy something else.

I have experienced the same ignorant behavior from Henri Lloyd “Customer Service”. We bought a jacket for sailing, and after a very short while, it lost it waterproofness, looked extremely badly and all the zippers were rusted and broken.

The quality used to be good on the Henri Lloyd, but has disintegrated into more fashion than sailor equipment. I would not recommend these jackets for any sailing.

I Bought A 3/4 Lenght Henri Lloyd Foul Weather Jac

I bought a 3/4 lenght Henri Lloyd foul weather jacket a few years ago. I have used it sparingly. I finally bought a boat last year and was looking forward to wearing it on my own boat. I wore it once in a moderate rain and I was soaked through to the skin. The white rubbery waterfprooking material on the inside of the nylon shell had peeled off in places, and when I shook the garment after it dried out, most of the plastic waterproofing simply fell off, leaving me with a useless red, 3/4 nylon jacket with a hood . I contacted Henri Lloyd. I had purchased the jacket a while ago, and did not have a sales slip. They told me to send the jacket to them, which I did, at my cost. A few weeks later the jacket showed up back in my office, with a letter. Since I didn't have a sales slip, they couldn't replace the jacket, even though it was obviously their jacket. They offered me a 40% discount from their list price, direct from Henri Lloyd. Since their stuff is usually discounted in stores, 40% off retail on a sight-unseen garment from a catalogue is no bargain. More important, it's no acknowledgement that their garment failed and was defective.

Henri Lloyd Casual Clothes Are Expensive But Wort

Henri Lloyd casual clothes are expensive but worth every penny they are so well made, they don't seem to wear out.

That is amazing. I agree that they are expensive and looks great. However I would not recommend their clothes for sailing.

They wear out in no time. Looses it waterproofness and the zippers kind of rust.

So stay onshore in order to be dry.
