So I Tried The Machine Out And I'd Like To Be As C
So I tried the machine out and I'd like to be as cogent as possible. Supporters of this machine claiming that it is "very quiet" must be wearing earplugs during their "soothing bath." I personally thought the noise was hideous. I don't care what people claim about the benefits of ozone are and what the German standards are, why don't they list the AMERICAN and CANADIAN standards? Here's my summary of ozone:
1) highly oxidative, described as an irritant with high toxicity on MSDS pages, harmful to skin and lungs;
2) NOT APPROVED for consumer use by USA EPA, Health Canada and CSA;
3) known to cause discomfort over prolonged exposure;
4) ozone is a potent antibacterial agent BUT only under levels that are toxic to humans (that is why ozone chemical plants are situated far away from the city area);
5) ozone DOES NOT CURE diabetes, cancers or any disease.
Mr. Mikron commented and asked on why we don't take cars out of the market and why build hybrid cars since they produce ozone as a byproduct. I believe that is self explanatory. Ozone produced in cars can be negligible compared to the green house oxides that they produce. These gases, although harmful, are indirect because they immediately rise into the atmosphere. Ozone produced by SG2000 ozone generator are enclosed in the consumer's bathroom for however long it takes for you to take your bath, where levels can build to POTENTIALLY harmful concentrations.
Up to $3000 for this thing, one should really consider before buying. Talk to as many professionals as possible from your family doctor and chiropractor to your local health authority.
What's funny is that I read on one of these SG2000 websites is that they suggest that you invite and charge your friend and family members $10 to $20 to use your ozone generating spa to help cover the costs!! Good advice ; )
I found this review helpful because... I just bought one unit and am inthe process of becoming a "distributor" based on the testimony from my good friends in Singapore who have been using the machine for the last few years (one for as long as 7 years).... although I am still skeptical, I thought I would use the machine just for the simple "warming" and "soothing" effect.... your review has helped to remind me that I should look more into the product and the associated claims.... thanks

I found this review not helpful because you cannot make these kind of statements:
"SG2000 has saved many chronically ill people and patients which the modern science cannot diagnose nor cope with it."
If this product is really this great, the Medical Association would surely implement it into the current health care plan, but IT'S NOT.
This product is NOT endorsed by and health organization in North America, and there's a good reason for it: It's a hoax that preys on people with little knowledge in this area.
I disagree with this review because I think it's fake science.
Just a note, it's illegal to make claims of health benefits without clinical evidence. If the pharmaceutical industry is not allowed to make such claims, neither should this piece of an instrument.
This device warms our body organs up to 37 degrees celcius? Is our body not capable of maintaining a temperature of 37 degrees celcius? Let me tell you something. The way our body works is that it holds our body temperature at 37C, a phenomenon known as "Homeostasis". A slight degree temperature higher would result in a fever. Our body has evolved mechanisms much more sophisticated to regulate our body temperature compared to your "Home Spa." A more or less correct statement would be "The SG2000 home spa can warm our body organs to whatever temperature the WATER is. " If the water is 45C, it would warm our body to 45, it WON'T stop at 37. If the water is set at 32C, the "Home spa" WOULDN'T be able to warm our body to 37C.
You say the good results from using the spa, modern science cannot cope with, yet your argument is exactly that of modern science; you mentioned immune system, temperature regulation, toxins and heavy metals which are ALL elements of modern science.
I'll leave the same comments I left with all previous postings, can you explain why these devices are banned in North America? Can you explain to me the Placebo effect?

The Concentration Of The Ozone In This Spa Machine
The concentration of the ozone in this spa machine is 0.03 ppm, meeting the German standard of 0.05 ppm.
Secondly you are exposed to the ozone for only 15 minutes. No harm at all.
Anything could be harmful if you take too much, such as eating.
Generally speaking, home spa SG2000 is the best portable spa machine on the market.
You say German standard, what is the American and Canadian standard? Can you explain why ozone generators are banned in North America?

I found this review unhelpful because the person left the discussion too open ended. She did not define "toxin" or what was being "detoxified" and she knew she was being "detoxified".
What is detoxified? What toxins do you speak of that are being removed by this ozone generator? What consititutes are a toxin?Did you go run a blood test to see that your blood is "cleaner"?

The main selling feature of the Grandsun SG2000 Home Spa is the ozone, claiming ozone will improve one's health when in fact ozone is highly toxic and can cause permanent lung damage. Canada and many parts of the USA have banned the sale of ozone generators to the public but this company still privately imports these devices and sells them to science-uneducated individuals. They also exaggerate other features.
The company does not stand behind their products, once they get your money, don't expect to be able to get a refund. This device is sold through an MLM schematic; hence the aggressive sales strategies. They sell for approximately $2000 CAD but once the profits are said and split, it's worth no more than $200, so beware when you see Grandsun SG2000 Home Spa.
People who sell these devices for an MLM company or pyramid scheme tend to develop a very loyal, unhealthy and defensive attitude. Sure you can say that you've gained a lot from the device, but IF it is as good as you say, why are clinical studies that being taken for it? Sure, cars emit ozone and other greenhouse gases, but NOT JUST TOYOTAS!! Leave my Toyatas alone. But we humans have become addicted to cars long before we learnt about it's greenhouse effects. With or without ozone, the NO derivatives, hydrocarbons and CO2 gases are already hurting our environment. Why do we need hybrid cars? Well that's off topic but the general opinion is that GAS PRICES ARE TOO HIGH!!!

I think the main reason no one has countered your statements is because most everyone using it is in the Far East. Now I actually went over there on a business trip in Oct-Nov 2006 and was so impressed with the machine I brought one back with me ont he plane.
I've been spaing ever since every day. Guess what Kevun? I'm 49 and MY HAIR is growing back. So what you are saying is that the machine is toxic? It's commercial grade, not like the cheapster stuff sold on ebay! You don't actually think millions of people are using this machine in Asia because they LOVE getting electrocuted, do you?
