Bailiffscourt Hotel & Health Spa, Climping Street, Climping, West Sussex

Had a very bad experience at the Baillifs Court Hotel, Climping. Booked for lunch, and took along the current discount of £12.50 for a 2 course lunch. Our booking could not be found (I had booked the day before), and made us feel that it was our fault - even though they were not busy. Very ungracious - not made to feel welcome at all. Lunch menu very limited, so some of us wanted a starter and desert. It did not mention on voucher that one of the courses needed to be a starter, and as starters and deserts are normally cheaper we did not think there would be a problem. But a woman (did not introduce herself- have not idea who she was) came over and said we all needed to order a main. I said fine, but in future they should print that on the voucher. She said it is and snatched the voucher from the table. It wasn't.

I told the waiter to cancel our order, whereupon the woman descended upon us again and among other things, shouted that we were only there to get a freebie. The most appalling behaviour I have ever encountered in the service industry.

This is a place too desperate to rise above its mediocre staff.

Prefect in every way - I have returned many times. The Bailiffscourt Hotel and Health spa is west sussex is a marvelous place. Everyone should give it a try. Theres so many treatment available and the surroundings are so relaxing.
