Braun Thermoscan Ear Thermometer 4520

Had the Thermoscan 7 for less than two years and it hardly woks. It keeps coming up with the same error code POS. This means that the probe id not 'positioned' correctly.

It is rubbish, Tried new batteries, new caps and different ears, it never works now.

I will look for another manufacturer as the Braun website does not enter into pages about this product.

Excellent item, the most reliable thermometer I've ever come across. They use this is most of the hospitals and doctors surgeries I've been to so you know your not going to look like a paranoid parent taking a healthy baby in and panicking, and more importantly you know your not going to miss it if your child has a dangerously high fever. It's a lot quieter than some of the previous ear thermometers we tries which is great as it doesn't wake a sleeping child if your having a quick check on them. It works just as well on my 5 month old as it does on my 3 year old, and even on myself. Granted, it is a lot more than other thermometers but it's good quality, will last til the kids are teenagers and you can't put a price on peace of mind.

As a nurse I have used this Braun Thermoscan Ear Thermometer 4520 both professionally and for my own personal use.

Definately glad we bought one. Easy to use and accurate. Very quick at taking temperature.

Temperature display does not light up so hard to read if taking childs temperature at night with lights off.

Every household should have one
