Acuvue Contacts Are The Only Kind I Have Ever Worn

Acuvue contacts are the only kind I have ever worn, and have been wearing them now for about 10-12 years or so. Never really had a problem with them until the past year, when suddenly they've started ripping for absolutely no reason and I've been having to replace them way more frequently than I should be. I brushed off the first time as it just perhaps being that one box and tried again, but am having the same result. They have also started irritating my eyes where I can wear them for a day, then need my glasses for a couple days. Never again! Just ordered Air Optix Night and Day after reading great reviews on those. Hoping for a better result this time!

Dry, Dry, Dry Eyes. Been Wearing Contacts For 15 Y

Dry, dry, dry eyes. Been wearing contacts for 15 years, never had eyes this dry or this much trouble with them ripping so easily. Never again.

They say you could sleep in these Acuvue to have them last 1 full week, instead of 2. Considering the dryness I've already experienced, I wouldn't even try it one night.

These Contacts Are Horrible. After Reading Some O

These contacts are horrible. After reading some online reviews I decided to give them a go and I am so sorry that I did. Not only did they suffocate my eyes but I barely lasted a week in them before I had to throw them away. Currently my eyes are getting over a reaction to the Acuvue Oasys contacts. I will never use this company's products again.

Been Wearing Glasses For 30 Years, Changed To Acuv

Been wearing glasses for 30 years, changed to Acuvue about four years ago, and I've been wearing Acuvue 2 for about 12 months.

Acuvue were ok, but a prone to rips and damage.

I don't rub to clean anymore, just leave them in fluid overnight. I wear them for a month, maybe more.

I've subsituted water for cleaning fluid for weeks on end, and it doesn't seem to make much different to how they wear or how long they last. But you will have to clean them in a sterile solution if you notice a buildup of mucus in the eye.

I like them, and they seem robust as long as you don't rub them to clean them. Feel very good to wear, like nothing at all.

If you get a feeling like you've got a hair stuck in your eye, then you probably have a tiny chunk missing from the side of the lense or have a small rip. Also a cause of mucus buildup.

Always clean lenses in a sterile medium if they get dodgy.

Evidently, acanthamoeba is your friend.

Bruce Tutty

acanthamoeba is the most common protozoa in soil, and commonly occurs in fresh and tap water.

Having your lenses soaking in a solution with tap water in is no more dangerous than going swimming in a river.

Sirocco

Bruce, storing them in plain water is a bad idea, since acanthamoeba is commonly found in tap water, which can cause a very serious eye infection, even destroy the eye. Lenses must ALWAYS be stored in a sterile medium.

I've Been Using These Acuvue 2 Two-week Daily Wear

I've been using these Acuvue 2 Two-Week Daily Wear Disposable lenses for 18 months, I've found them really easy to get on with but they do tend to stick to my eyes in air conditioned rooms. I did find when I first started to wear them that I was tearing them a lot when cleaning them, I've since tried to be more careful, but have been told by the optician that they had a protein build-up on them. Although it says they can last 14 days I really think that for cleanliness you should only really use these for 8 days max.

I have been using these for a year now and would not recommend any other contact lens option - they are brilliant. I do recommend a good all-in-one solution though, such as ALCON -Opti-Free Express or Replenish. These allow you to enjoy a full comfort free 14 days wear from these lenses.

Acuvue 2 Two-week Daily Wear Disposable Lenses: St

Acuvue 2 Two-Week Daily Wear Disposable Lenses: Stiffer than most contacts, these seemed durable. They were not, however, as they tore time and time again.

Simply put, after 8 hours of having them in, they made my eyes red. BUT, were comfy at first...well in fact, I would never know that my eyes were red unless my co-workers and friends told me. They stayed comfortable, but were somehow harming my eyes, irritating them.

I Find Acuvue 2 Two-week Daily Wear Disposable Le

I find Acuvue 2 Two-Week Daily Wear Disposable Lenses to be more comfortable than the new Advance w/ Hydraclear and would choose these lenses over those anyday. When wearing Acuvue 2 at end of the day, they still feel as comfortable as when I put them in, in the morning.
