Q. What do you want most from a GP Surgery? A. An appointment.

Worryingly getting an appointment to see a GP without multiple days of trying is not easy as appointments run out early in the morning, usually before 8.15 am; so if you are not a determined relatively fit and well person you will be put off. At the times (before 8.15 am)when appointments are on offer the phones are impossible to get through on and then a long wait to speak to someone.

The reception staff are pleasant and helpful when you do get through unfortnately they must be as exasperated as the patients when they can offer few appointnents at this new, multi million pound, purpose build Medical Centre with multiple small satellite surgeries and GPs spread around Chesterfield.

If you have an illness or condition that makes it difficult for you to manage your appointments, prescriptions or treatments such as people with a physical or depressive or other mental disability, who do not have the self will or ability to "keep trying" to get an appointment may be let down. I feel some patients would be put off in seeking medical help from this practice because i am.

On the poor websites "we welcome your suggestions, comments page" there is nowhere to leave any suggestion or comments of which I have a few. Disappointed.

Booking your own appointments on line is a great service but appointments are very few and far between. I would encourage a growth of this service.

Absolutely NO email address on the Chesterfield medical Partnership website to any of the surgeries including Ashgate Medical Centre, Holm Hall Surgery, Whittington medical Centre making it impossible to make contact with anyone by email. Sometimes I just want an non urgent answer to a simple enquiry. They obviously don't want to be bothered by patients problems or comments. Give me an email address please for easy contact?

Unimpressed. A new, multi million pound, purpose build Medical Centre with multiple small satellite surgeries and GPs spread around Chesterfield but without the ability to give an equal service, especially to the less able or most in need. I see no attempt to identify vulnerable patients by this practice nor any visible signs they have even considerer this problem where appointments are concerned. I would welcome a response from Chesterfield medical Partnership about this and if I am mistaken I would welcome any advice they put on the website.
