I wouldn't recommend Huddersfield uni to International students.First of all, international department is so slow and can't arrange anything for their students. To get invitation for a visa (CAS) takes ages and they don't have exact answer when you can receive it, so you might even miss you appointment for a visa,which is really hard to arrange after, because there can be no place for 1 month.Secondly, they might not answer on your emails, so you need always call them and push, however they still don't care about anything.

My friend wanted to go to the Hud uni, but i told her that it's not the best idea, and when she went there to get more information about her course etc., she didn't get answer and all staff were busy for her,so she changed her mind and went to Leeds uni, and she is happy with her choice.

This University have been very accommodating. I enrolled over the phone. I joined a Business studies degree course at the 4th year to complete my honours degree. I started it at Calderdale College.

The queues for the second lot of enrolling took only 1 hour. The IT didn't work but a librarian came to help after 4 goes at it. I am an IT teacher!!!! They forget to tell you to use a U and then only to use so many digits. The overall business manager was brilliant helped me to locate my rooms after 4.30 on a Friday night. Very impressive. I arrive at my first lecture but there was not even a chair to sit down. I had climned up about 30 flights of stairs with a damaged spine. The first lecturer set a task to do and changed her mind about 15 times and allowed herself to be guided by the students into doing things a better way. Quite rightly.

I'm in my third week now and most of the students are literally half my age, not a problem. I go to one lecture where there are only four of us and that is great because I can get to know them a bit better.

Finally the Business School building is in a rebuild so I'll never get to use it.

Would I recommend this University to a freind. At a cost of £3228. Hardly, not if I wanted to keep them. Would you? For 6 hours lectures per week that is around £15.00 per hour.

I get to do one module on two Thurday evenings and two weekends. But I am happy about that, along with two full weekends Saturday and Sunday.

Oh the pleasures of being a full time worker, a full time student and running a business. Laugh you know you want to.

If this was a genuine business they would have gine bankrupt or into receivership.

My wife attends this university, doing a BSc Psychology. I will actually start the same course September 2007. I've been quite involved this year with everything through my wife and we have both experienced a very pleasant service from this university. My wife loves going here. Everything is well arranged and there's plenty of upgrades done and being done to the University bringing it up to high standards.

In the 2006 National Student Survey students said they were 'very satisfied' and 80% of the University scores were at or above the national average, this was the same in 2005. This was one of the reasons for us to look at this university and our own experience has confirmed this. They were also the top ranking University for teaching quality out of all new UK Universities (North of England). This was published in Higher Education Supplement League Table in The Times (May 2005). Again from my wife's experience this is definitely confirmed!

I can't wait to start myself and look forward to attending this university!
