Lancaster Was A Top Uni In Terms Of Both Teaching

Lancaster was a top uni in terms of both teaching and social life. I studied a wide range of subjects as you have to add optional modules to your degree, if you catch my drift. All the lecturers had come from the industry and were therefore, i believe far better qualified to teach and give insight than people who have only been academics. A lot of aspects were very hands-on doing real projects rather than just studying other people's work. There was also a high standard of guest lecturers through out my 3 years there. I would recommend it, a top course at a top university although the City of Lancaster leaves a little to be desired.

Please. I don't know what people are on who gave Lancaster 5 stars. I suspect the marketing people are busy doing their job! They certainly spend a lot of time promoting the management school. In reality, Lancaster is a large depressing concrete university. It rains all the time, is expensive, and there is nothing to do besides get drunk. The faculty spend far more time researching and in my experience really hate teaching, class sizes are huge, and seminars are usually taught by PhD students who don't seem to know anything, often don't speak English, and couldnt give a damn. Lancaster is one of the most boring towns in Britain, poor shopping and nothing to do.
