I lived in Owens Park Tower last year and it was by far the best year of my life. There's SO many people there that you're bound to meet some interesting characters, and there's rarely a second where something controversial isn't going on! The vibe generally is outstanding, there's a real social buzz about owens park that just can't be explained, it's something to be experienced. I honestly can't imagine a better place for a uni student to go for their first year, it's an absolute blast and I'd do it again and again, it's just that good.

It has truly been one of the best times of my life living in halls in Fallowfield and i found tree court to be an amazing experience as the rooms were brilliant, the people i met there were outstanding, tree court is very well protected security wise as you need a key and a swipe card to gain entry. If i was to do it all over again there isn't a doubt in my mind that i would come to Fallowfield campus as it definitely is the student centre of Manchester and theres always something to do, a party to attend and so on. I at first thought that catered halls would be a nuisance but it does actually work out better and there isn't the hassle of having to do a weekly shop, so in the long run it probably works out even cheaper! I highly recommend OP to any new students coming to Manchester. The only warning i can give you is....prepare for the time of your life!

Overall, I loved my stay in the Tower in Owens Park, Manchester, and I would recommend anyone going to Manchester University to stay in residences in Fallowfield, as this is defiantly the heart of Manchester student life!

Loved staying in OP (Owens park). I stayed the in the infamous "tower" which is 16 stories high. I wasn't on the top floor though! Thank god, as I don't like heights! I was on the 6th floor, so it wasn't too bad. I've put that the facilities were shared. I didn't have an en-suite; we had a shared toilet and shower block, but I did have a washbasin in my room. The room was a fairly good size, with Internet connection. OP has its own very big and impressive bar, and it plays host to the infamous Friday night "BOP".

There are two main lifts going up and down the building, so it's easy access to rooms and other floors. Because Owens Park is catered, the kitchen facilities provided aren't up to much, with only a microwave and a kettle available in the communal kitchen area. However, because it is catered you don't need much during other times of the day if you are in the flat, but I didn't have catering at weekends, so this then became a bit of a problem.
