Do Not Book A Room Here

I am extremely dissatisfied with Aspley Halls.

I live in Little Aspley Hall and wish I had chosen somewhere else.

First of all, the walls are PAPER THIN, meaning I can hear my next door neighbour cough or even open a drawer.

Secondly, I asked for a mixed flat and got put with three guys (I'm a girl), and Aspley staff did not inform me of this nor even asked if I was okay with it. These three guys also happen to be what is referred to as 'ghosts', meaning that they never come out of their rooms, and I havent even seen one of them EVER in the flat.

Also, as was advertised by the website, there was a pool, gym and sauna available for free for all residents, which is why I chose this place because for about the same price you had access to a pool. However, in june when everyone had paid their deposits and there was no turning back, Aspley sent us a message informing us that the pool was no longer going to be there and that the whole place was going to be under construction.

DO NOT BOOK HERE, YOU WILL BE HAPPIER BOOKING SOMEWHERE ELSE WHICH WILL RESPECT YOUR WISHES, INFORM YOU PROPERLY, AND PROVIDE ADEQUATE PRIVACY ( DECENT WALLS).

I've Lived In Aspley Hall For Over A Year Now And

I've lived in Aspley Hall for over a year now and it is great. It's central position in Huddersfield is great for a night out on the town. Obviously it's pretty easy to that you can walk onto the campus within 2 minutes too. I love having gym available, with a pool and good management. My room is spacious, clean and the building is new, which is another plus-point for me. The system at Huddersfield University for appointing rooms worked well, you can basically say whether you want quiet or lively accommodation. This way the real study-heads get the peace and quiet and the party people get a vibrant environment. I love living and studying here and would recommend it all.
