This School Is Set In A Village Location And Is Cu
This school is set in a village location and is currently where both of my two children are being educated.
My youngest child is continually coming home from school with a sticker attached to the sweater indicating that first aid has been administered for whatever reason. Usually a bump of some kind. This is now almost a daily occurrence and has been going on for a number of weeks with no contact from the school other than a sticker and a small proforma note in their bag.
There have been incidents of bullying in the school which my youngest child has been subjected to and rather than just being able to talk to the school about it on the phone, this has taken constant badgering of staff to get it sorted out. (Of course the school don't see it as a problem because its kids being kids).
Mixed year groups:
My oldest child is in a mixed year group and this I feel is making it harder for my child to advance as the lessons and curriculum are now less challenging and as one of the older children needs to prepare for the next school in September. I have spoken to other parents who also state their children are having the same difficulties.
If there were another school in the area, then my children would certainly be taken out of Lyneham Primary and placed there. The problem seems to be based more around the management structure.
I find myself having to keep a very close eye on my children's development and this is something, which I should be able to trust the school with but find it almost impossible to do so.
My youngest child in the reception year appears to be struggling, but when phoned by the school to be asked to come in because there was a problem that my youngest couldn't count to 10 and recognise basic numbers, I was furious when I got home and was told "it's easy Daddy 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10".
If the teaching staff for the first years can't get that right then it's plain to see that each consecutive year is going to be a challenge for the children, because of incompetent staff.
TheMrsH has commented on my own review (thankyou!) However I have looked into TheMrsH's comments and yep you've guessed it, he/she has made negative comments on all the reviews he/she has read. Even the positive reviews??? Well I suppose that just goes to show that TheMrsH's comments carry no weight whatsoever.
Look up TheMrsH, and you will see all that persons reviews are negative and attack the author. So it just goes to show that these reviews carry no weight whatsoever.

No, it is you that does not understand not the teachers!
Your child can recite the unmbers in order, that's a start. But that is NOT the same as being able to count a number of objects and it does not mean that your child can recpgnise numbers.
You seem to have it in for this school in an unreasonable way. There is no evidence that mixed year groups affect children's progress. And you say that you want the school to respond to you and yet you signally fail to respond to them. I expect that the school does not find you an easy parent to deal with.
