Rotary Elite Watch GOLD 18 Carat. Do not buy this watch as an every day watch! This is a dress watch only! The very small screws to hold the back on are made of dissimilar materials and have either broken off or fallen out, allowing moisture to ruin the mechanism. It is done for cheapness as a screw back is far more secure. The watch is failing mechanically after just 7 years. It has been back to Rotary twice but I will not have it repaired again as I am confident it will break a third time with this stupid screw idea. I have had to resort back to a Timex which has happily kept going for years. WELL DONE TIMEX. Thumbs down £1000 of Rotary scrap watch

I received a £600 Rotary Elite Gold watch for a present and unfortunately, the battery stopped a little over a year which was not a problem but approx. 15 months later, the same thing happened but I was informed it was not the battery, but part of the mechanism which had failed. Rotary only operate a two year guarantee so unfortunately, I had to pay an extra £280 for repairs.

If the watch did not hold sentimental value, I would certainly not have bothered as I think such an expensive watch should be covered with a life time guarantee.

I purchased the Rotary Elite 2.5 years ago and have had nothing but a good experience. The sapphire crystal really sets it off as its beveled. The watch is complete gold plate with a white face. I actually had a gentleman walk to my table when I was dining with my wife to comment on my beautiful watch. Trust me that is not a normal occurance. It keeps accurate time, wears extremely well and still has the original battery. In my books that's all I can ask.
