I am notoriously bad with watches and take them for quite a ride, therefore I go through watches very quickly.

My wife purchased this watch for me almost 3 years ago and I must say that the silver link watch band has some scuffs and a very small marr on the rim of the watch face glass. Other than that-this has ben one of the best watches I have ever owned!

solar powered "eco-drive" no large, clunky kinetic drive mechanism clicking around in this watch. If you store this watch in a dark closet or drawer, you will have to reset it after 2 days or so.

But it recharges fully in direct sunlight in about 4 hours. Indirect or indoor light takes a bit longer, but it begins to work immedately.

A bargain for an "idiot proof" watch.

Steer clear of the kinetic energy drive watches when this is avail for less and requires no maintenance.

The strap of the Citizen E100-S006597 watch is a leather backed fabric strap. The leather on mine is black with green fabric.

The strap holes are metal rings and not stamped holes. This may reduce the number of holes available, as the rings are quite large, which reduces the chance of a perfect fit. There are only 5 strap holes on this compared to 11 on my Casio W-86.

I would not recommend this watch for active sports people, as a leather strap may deteriorate faster due to sweat, and it takes quite a while for the strap to dry once submersed in water. It is WR to 100m.
