Lovely Waistcoat

I ordered the waistcoat for my partner. I found the product well made and with lovely material. The detail of the union jack was carefully sewn.

When he wore it everybody commented on it and how they liked it.

I would definitely order another from this company as the product still looks great after being worn regularly.

Waistcoat Too Short, Bow Tie Was Appalling

I picked the design (Mr. Z), measured from the instructions on the website, but it was a bit too short. I put that down to my error, but having read other reviews, and having re-measured, I genuinely don't think it is my error.

A massive disappointment for me was the matching bow tie. Firstly, the design was different to what was shown on the website. Secondly, I opted for the self tie, but was amazed to find what appeared to be a kit to make a ready made tie, i.e. two halves of a bow tie with an ugly clip to fasten the two halves together, which would sit on the back on your neck. Not good if you wear a dress shirt, as there is no collar to hide the clip. When I pointed this out, I was told I was the first person who had complained about this. I find this hard to believe!

On the plus side, the waistcoat was well made, and they accommodated my request to add pockets to the waistcoat so that I could carry a pocket watch in the traditional manner.

Very Disappointing

Bought a waistcoat which didn't look to me like the one on their web site: I thought the material cheap-looking and dull with thin lining. In my belief not a good fit for length either, despite my taking careful measurements.

Emailed them to complain and asked for money back which they would not do. Unfortunately because it is custom tailoring, I had no rights of cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations. I think they know this, so can get away with poor customer service, in my opinion.

I will never again buy bespoke materials off the internet because of the lack of protection afforded to the consumer. My recommendation is to avoid doing so and go to a shop instead.

This Company Dont Even Get One Star... I Can't Eve

This company dont even get one star... I can't even be bothered to detail the problems faced with this hideous company.

The waistcoat was stained when it arrived, When i sent it back I was told that I had stained it!! They have refused a refund, ignored letters and emails and are very rude.

AWFUL compay. PLEASE dont buy from them

waistcoat was also a hideous shape, just awful and cheap when it was in fact £115!!!

I Ordered A Waistcoat Over The Internet. Used The

I ordered a waistcoat over the internet. Used the measuring table supplied by waistcoatsdirect. When the waistcoat was delivered it was too short at the back. I mailed the supplier and he answered back that I probably did not properly measure the back.

So I redid the measurement using their exact indications. I still got the same length. Surely I was dissapointed but I realise that this is a risk ordering over the internet. I mailed the supplier that the measurement was the same as before. He answered that they could not do a remake of the waistcoat.

I then proposed a deal. I mailed him that I was prepared to order a new waistcoat (and pay for it!). I tried to negociate a discount and in return I would supply them with some nice pictures of the waistcoat in full use (the waistcoat was going to be used in a dancing display).

And then it went very silent. I tried to mail several times but no reactions at all.

After a couple of weeks I mailed on a different e-mail address asking a very generic question about ordering some fabric (of course I used another name since I had not received a response to my previous mails). To my surprise (or maybe not) he answered within a day.

All this confirmed my previous opinion: ordering a vest is ok, paying for it is ok but giving service is beyond their goals.

I am very dissapointed!
