Disastrous

Unreliable. Unresponsive. charged us, but never sent the goods. I have used this company reliably over the years... until now. Recently ordered 2 of a uniform that I've ordered before. Paid additional for rush and expedited shipping. Gave him a deadline. It was for film/ theater. He promised he would get it here by a certain date as they have done so many times before. The filming and performance dates have passed and I STILL DON'T HAVE A UNIFORM delivered. It's fine if you CAN'T do the job. Just DON'T promise that you will. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Replicaters for film and theater designers ever again. And I've recommended them plenty over the years. I've guessed that the original owner no longer runs or owns the company and the new owners/operators are not up to snuff. Don't waste your time or money. They are mugger.

Paypal Not Working On Replicaters End

(I am in the U.S.)

Hello,

I went to order a U Boat deck jacket a year or two ago (so 2018/2017) after having outgrown the one I bought in 2007 or so. I really loved the jacket that I got at the time as it was fairly close to an original that I also once had. I also got the leather trousers as well, which were decent too (as I once had an original pair to compare with).

Rather than paying Western Union like I did the last time, I wanted to pay via PayPal and use my $25 credit I had towards the coat.

I sent in my payment with a note about my credit which he was aware of from a rather old email (he managed to find in his archive).

I asked if he got the payment and I got the response that they did not. So, I contacted PayPal, because a fair period of time passed between my payment and my contacting PayPal. Paypal checked on their end, and here Replicaters account was not "verified" or whatever the process is, with the email they list to send the PayPal payment to. So I let Replicaters know this, so they could fix it. I was then told they did fix it, but my payment still did not go through. At this point, I pretty much gave up, because I had no idea what was *really* going on on their end, filed for refund, and got it. I am just disappointed that I have that $25 credit sitting there wasting away. I have been leery of making a second attempt but paying via Western Union like I did before.

I don't know what happened over the years, but I am really disappointed in them.

Many Orders But Problems Now

I have been doing business with Mr. Suri of Replicaters.com for over ten years. My first orders were very well made (mostly British army) I believe due to the company having worked for British regiments in the past. Four years ago I ordered a custom uniform from them and sent many photographs making sure he understood that I wanted an exact copy in my size using correct materials which I was paying a premium for. What I received was a perfect fitting Scots Guards band uniform. It was red but nothing like what I ordered. After many weeks and emails he finally sent something close to what I ordered but missing key details and several small items that I'd paid for. I just received a $1,000 order for an Irvin RAF jacket which he listed on his web site as a standard item he made. I used PayPal and waited the three weeks he said. Nothing arrived but I did get a quick response asking for an additional week. He did not respond to emails until I filed a dispute. 61/2 weeks after my order I received my order and the small items were acceptable but the jacket is a JOKE. It is made of thin leather or pleather and lined with cotton not shearling. I will not be doing business again with this company. I hope PayPal will get my refund.

Beware Of What You Order

I sent an email to Mr. Sanjay asking if he made WW2 German panzer uniforms, he replied back that he did, both in wool and hbt material. I ordered one of each what I received was totally wrong basically a black wool double breasted suit and same for the hbt uniform...No refund given

Also his photos of his work are mostly taken from books on real uniforms or other peoples reproductions

Beware Replicaters.com,,you Will Be Sorry If You Order From

I have had much experience with Replicaters.com,,when in the past I wished to purchase a custom made leather coat(from America or Europe) it would cost me $800 or more,I then found Replicaters.com,I thought I would give him a try as the prices were so good. When you first email Mr Sanjay he is very very polite and pleasant,if you ask for a certain style or design its "no problem "he says,if you ask for special details with your order such as I did,he replies its no problem,I was so pleased I found him!So I aksed for a WW2 German leather overcoat,I wrote out all the special details I wanted with the coat,(coat measurements, leather type, leather thickness ect)I even drew him out a picture,I sent him exact measurements,,of course it was :No Problem: and no worries,,he said:I wrote him back "Please make sure you follow my instructions and measurements exactly,"''No Problems "Sanjay says..."All will be as you have requested",He gave me a price and I paid...The price for a WW2 German copy leather overcoat was $380 due to my customization of the coat, normally its much cheaper..So 4 weeks goes by and I get my coat,,,,I was both shocked and amazed,,how any tailor could be so inaccurate with every detail,,I had asked for Horse leather for my coat in a very heavy/thick grade,he sends me cow leather in a very thin grade,I asked for a 18 inch shoulder width,Sanjay gives me a 21 inch shoulder width,,,I ask for a chest width of 22 inches,Sanjay gives me 25 inches,,sleeve length too short, coats length too short,,wrong type leather, wrong thickness of leather,,I was very surprised,,I could not believe after all of my details and detailed drawings as well as Sanjay assuring me that "No problem with the coat",I received a cheap worthless $380 Reproduction WW2 German overcoat,I had thrown away $380!!!A worthless coat! And I waited too long in receiving the coat so I could not send it back for a refund,,Sanjay did not return my messages and I never heard from him again though I did hear from his son,,,or a man claiming to be his son,,,his son told me Sanjay was on vacation and I should try and sell my reproduction coat that didnt fit me on Ebay,,that was that,,,he would not give a refund and said the coat was as I had ordered..After sending multiple angry emails to him he simply blocked my emails and all of the emails came back to me without reaching him..This man Sanjay is a liar, his products are cheap and poorly made as well whatever you order you will not get what you ask for.He will tell you anything you wish to hear, you may even find he is very pleasant and enjoy his messages, but word to the wise,,he is a liar and will tell you anything you wish to hear so he can gain your money..Be warned....If you do order from him make sure that you get your item before your Paypal or credit card no longer offer the protection of a refund ,this is I believe 30 days, after that time Sanjay will not give refunds

Dreadful Service And Responses

-MY EXPERIENCE-

I have a similar experience with this seller.

One day I asked (name removed) to make a panzer cap for me.

I asked whether he could make it accurately as the original. He replied me confirming he could do it and said could finish it in two weeks.

After two weeks, I asked him about the progress and he said he couldn't finish it because he was five days off for Eid.

For this excuse, I pardoned him. And he asked for another week.

A week after (the deadline), I sent him a message again asking my order.

Still haven't finish for the reason his craftmen were sick.

Again, after several weeks still no progress.

I asked for a refund, nothing I got from him.

Wasted my money and time for nothing for this deceitful creature.

Overall, I say the service is very very dreadful.

The responses I got was warm-hearted tone at the beginning, but he just simply replied with no more than two lines after that.

-BUYER BEWARE-

I also notice that a lot of negative feedbacks were posted on the internet. For the following reasons:

- Almost all pictures on his web came from books and he didn't acknowledge them and used it for his personal benefits.

- (name removed) gives terrible service to most of his customers. Reply time takes a long time.

- (name removed) makes poor and ugly items, very different with his descriptions. Replica means the reproduction using the same materials, but (name removed) doesn't.

- (name removed) refuses to engage in refund matters. Even if the customers don't get what they want or the customers didn't receive anything at all.

-NOTES TO CUSTOMERS-

That is my experience, hope you don't get the same like me.

But make sure if you want to get nice goods and services, don't engange with this guy.

I would agree totally with the previous review that Sanjay and this company are just out to make a quick buck and the service is terrible. When you first contact them he is almost falling over himself to try and help you make an order and uses very pretty langyage in his emails. Right up until the money goes through Sanjay replies to emails with lightning speed but once he has your cash, well......I ordered an Australian uniform in 2011, and all seemed great until I got the package. The jacket is totally out of proportion, and made of the wrong material altogether. Added to this was a piece of kit was missing which Sanjay assured me 'will arrive soon'. It never has. When I asked for a refund Sanjay was happy to agree, but has since ignored the repeated paypal requests for a refund. This guy is just a swindler. Other reviews I have read that are positive are all quite old, c. 2006, the more recent ones seem to echo my bad experience. Do not deal with these turkeys!!!!

I would say be very careful. Uniform part looks quiet small, do order +1 size, taylor cuts quiet small.

Internet's site picture are everything but something to refer to.

Use your order with caution. Try first a small amount order.

Review For Ujna Universal - Www.replicaters.com

Review for Ujna Universal - www.replicaters.com

Make sure you pay by Paypal !! He goes very quiet on the matter of refunds.

And be aware that although he tries not to mention import duty you will have to pay it.

FedEx charge a £10 admin fee on top of the duty so it can amount to £15.

While the initial contact from Sanjay was warm enough I'm afraid the products are rubbish and the customer service is very evasive and he doesn't engage in discussions on refunds.

I ordered a repllca RAF uniform and a couple of German Army shirts.

The uniform was not in the serge material and so is not a replica.

The measurements were dreadful - I received a 48" chest jacket when I ordered a 38" chest.

The trousers were cut with the seat measurement the same size as the waist so it is impossible to sit in them.

The shirts were not well made and hung in a creased manner under the collar - just where the shirt shows under a jacket!

I kept the shirts out of goodwill but when I tried to get a refund on the RAF uniform I wish I hadn't bothered. Sanjay did not communicate and I had to set up a dispute via PayPal.

I would advise you to pay Sanjay AFTER the goods have been delivered so that you know how much duty you will have to pay. You only have 45 days after paying to set up a dispute and he may delay sending the goods until the appeal date has expired.

He may try and tell you that they rarely charge Import Duty. I would not trust him. He is deceitful.

Warm words, shoddy goods, poor service.
