Fantastic Experience All Around!
I had never purchased from WideWidths.com and after reading some of your comments, I must admit I was a bit reluctant. However, I had a completely different experience and would buy again in a heartbeat! Not only were my boots shipped out the very next day, they arrived SO quickly! There was a little issue that I contacted Customer Service about and they INSTANTLY replied and did all they could to work it out for me! I shop online for nearly everything and I can honestly say that their Customer Service steps up a notch compared to many! I'm so thrilled with my boots! Thanks WideWidths.com!! I will most certainly be back! Happy Holidays!

Expensive, Bad Returns
I'm a short (5' 3") woman with very wide calves. I was delighted when I found the WideWidthsBoots site. I read the (way too complex) materials and picked the widest boot, the Olivia. So far, so good.
Good:
Wide selection of plus sized boots, some quite attractive.
Very fast shipping
Bad:
Boot price was high to begin with ($300)
Expensive shipping! I'm Canadian - I paid a whopping brokerage fee (DO pick USPS, NOT UPS, to avoid the fee) and customs. So the boots, with shipping, brokerage, tax and customs came in at $500.
Boots didn't fit. Zipper only came up 4 inches before refusing to go further. Customer service basically said it was my fault. Despite the fact that my calf at widest point was one inch smaller than the boot's advertised width.
Returning the boots would have ended up leaving me $100 on the hook for shipping--and NO boots.
SO - I looked online and found BootBand. I was able to buy an insert that zips into my boots (with exchange, shipping and tax, about $75). Awesome product, and probably a better choice for most large-calved ladies than WideWidths!

Terrible :(
I ordered an 18 1/8" calf width and was sent a 14" calf width :( I was so looking forward to having boots that fit. VERY disappointed.

Not So Great
If you order boots from them and never wear them, but want to return them good luck. They will make excuses for why they cannot give you a refund. They also make you pay shipping both ways. The boots are okay but can be uncomfortable (even if they are the right size). If you buy from them expect to be keeping them because you will not be getting your money back. Now I have to put BRAND NEW boots on ebay to try to get some of my money back. Thanks WideWidths.com

This May Be One Of The Few Sites With A Variety Of
This may be one of the few sites with a variety of wide calf boots, but it does not measure up to other websites in terms of value and customer service. The prices are high for the quality of the boot. And the return policy is poor - 30 days from the order date which hardly allows round trip shipping, and you have to request a return code via email during that time. I don't recommend a purchase unless it is your last resort. And if you need to return then take care of that immedieately!
I just came across this review and I am surprised to see such a negative response. I live in Canada and have ordered about 4 pairs of wide calf boots from them since I found this wonderful company. They have been extremely helpful and their suggestions and customer service are excellent, as are all of the boots I have purchased from them. I have even recommended them to many friends and relatives who have all been quite happy with their boots too.
The quality of my boots (and my friends) has all been exceptional and one of my pairs will be going on my 3rd winter coming up now and mine are from the same company as the Tammy so the leather is genuine calf skin and it is very soft and elegant. I am sorry that you had this problem but you ought to give them another try.

Do Not Order From Widewidths.com If You Are From C
Do not order from widewidths.com if you are from Canada or some other international country. I had to pay $30 shipping to Canada, an $15 brokerage fee, $25 in Canadian duties just to get the boots to me. I tried them on and they didn't fit, so I had to contact widewidths.com to get return authorization, pay $30 to ship them back to the widewiths.com plus extra because I was told I had to insure the boots. I paid $90 to try a pair of boots on, and then today I found the same pair of wide-calf boots on shoebuy.com for $20 less than the price I paid at widewidths.com, and shoebuy.com pays the shipping and return shipping if you decide to return the boots. The ancillary costs of shopping at widewidths.com are high, and do not match up with other online retailers, and you can find their merchandise elsewhere for a more reasonable price.
Keep looking on other sites that offer more reasonable shipping, or buy a pair in a brick-and-mortor store with a good return policy and visit a shoemaker to see if he can add a leather or elastic panel. This tends to cost CAD $30-60. If I'd spend the money getting a pair of regular-width boots altered I'd have a pair of boots now, rather than having wasted $90 that I won't get back on shipping and brokerage fees and having no boots at all!

Widewidths.com Sells The Greatest Wide Calf Boots
WideWidths.com sells the greatest wide calf boots EVER! I have never been able to find a pair of boots to fit my large legs and I finally lucked out and found a gorgeous leather boot called "Tammy." It has a 19 1/2 inch calf and I got them in a wide foot size as well (they sell mediums too). The leather is a soft high quality type and they even have a large elastic gore near the zipper that stretches more so your calf is more comfortable in them and the top of the boot doesn't dig into your calf. The heels are just the perfect height for me (about 2 inches) and all in all they are just beautiful with my new fall wardrobe.
This site is especially terrific since not only do they carry these extra wide calf boots, but they even list the calf size for each foot size. You actually know what you are getting so you don't have to waste time shipping back and forth to find out that your boots will never zip up.
I searched for boots with wide calves and wide foot sizes for so long until I found WideWidths.com. It is so frustrating to continually go to shoe websites that claim to sell wide calf boots and as you look through pages of styles and descriptions my friends and I always got so disgusted to find that they have nothing at all to fit your calf! This site actually sells boots that fit plus size women and every single item is made for people like myself that have not been able to find boots for their entire adult lives.
The customer service at this site is wonderful too. They are very kind and patient and can help you make good choices since they explained how to measure your calf for the right fit. The women there really know their products and they are all so helpful.
I have just ordered my second pair today and I decided to get red boots! I never imagined that I would ever find a sexy pair of red boots for my legs. Can you imagine how happy someone that is a plus size can be to finally find a pair of boots that only people with skinny legs can fit into??
