Sun Labs Ultra Dark Tanning Lotion

For a mid-priced self tanner, this one works pretty well. It smells nice, and gives a good even tan. The only things I didn't like were the messy application (the guide is very dark) and the fact that it didn't last as long as I would've liked. But overall I was pretty [pleased with the results of this tanner. It's difficult to find a great self tanner that costs under $20, but this one actually came pretty close.

I have purchased Sun Labs in Dark. first of all the application is quite hard as the texture is not very smooth. I tried it with and without gloves. So then I bought a mitt and with the mitt it is a lot easier to apply, so I do recommend a mitt.

However, I have a bigger problem with this tanning lotion. The tan does not last at all. I apply it in the evening and it gives me an instant tan which looks awesome. I leave it overnight (The smell of this is awful btw) and when I wash it off in the morning the whole tan goes away !! I don't know what I do wrong. I do exfoliate well before applying and I have watched many videos on how to apply. But I don't know why the tan does not stick to my skin . I am very disappointed about this .

When it comes to fake tans, there are so many that its so hard to chose the right one. Fortunately, I purchased sun labs ultra dark and it is a wonderful fake tan. When applying it, you can visually see the application. The colour is a brownish tint and you can see if there are any streaks. It dries really quickly which is good, although it does make it a bit more difficult to go over the tan and remove the streaks if there are any left. Overall, I love the colour, it does not look orange, it smells nice and I would purchase it again.

I purchased two shades of sun labs tanner. Ultra dark and very dark( dark sunsation)

After applying ultra dark, tan wasn´t as dark as i expected. But it did melt in skin very smooth and easy. So i tried with dark sunsation.

First impression: it was thicker in consistence as ultra dark. And took more time to blend it in. The immediate bronzing effect was quite impressive. But i wouldn´t risk to go out looking like that. It was way to dark.

Remember to use gloves. I used vinyl gloves, they are more slippery than latex gloves.

Next morning took shower, moisturized from from top to toe. And the tan was AMAZING. Ok honestly the closest ever to natural tan.

The tan lasts for about a week. I used tanner thursday, went to swimmingpool saturday and monday i still had tan.

I started using this product just a couple weeks ago. I have pretty fair skin and this product didnt turn my skin orange but a nice bronze color. I have gotten many compliments on my "tan" and people asking me where they can get the product. I have read other reviews that the tanner turned the pores on their legs orange which made me nervous. The first time that I used the product I shaved before applying and it did turn the pores a slightly darker color than the rest of the leg; however, the next few times I decided to save shaving until after I showered and I have not had the problem since. The tanner goes on a really dark color, which I like because I can tell where I have applied it, and I recommend keeping it on for at least 6 hours before showering. I definitley recommend this product!

I am fair skinned and I have a hard time tanning naturally so I am always looking for a good sunless tanner. I read some very positive reviews on this product and I thought I'd give it a try even though it was quite expensive for me. Especially for only being an 8oz bottle. I tested it on my leg first and waited 1 day. It seemed to be a nice brown color and looked very even. After that I tested it on my entire body. HORRIBLE! It came out VERY streaky and the color was no different than any sort of drug store self tanner. ORANGE! I was devastated. When I applied it I thought that it looked very even and I even had my boyfriend check for streaks. He said there were none as I was applying it. But hours later, there is a huge line down my forearm and my legs looked extremely steaky. In some reviews I learned that after showering it will help with the streaks, but after I got out of the shower I saw that in some spots the color was completely GONE! It almost completely washed off. The exfoliant isn't that great either. I'd rather use St. Ives exfoliant. The smell was nice at first but after a few hours there was a chemical scent. All in all... I don't think that this product is worth the money and I don't understand the hype. I followed all of the directions properly and had better results with drug store self tanner... VERY disappointed.

The abslolute WORST self-tanning product I've ever used. The consistency was about 10x too thick, impossible to apply evenly, and if you should happen to massage it in a MOMENT too long, it clumps and looks like dirt with fingerprint streaks all over. I hoped that using my tanning mitt would even it out, but to no avail as it was already too muddy and caked on my skin. I was very dissapointed in the quality of the product, as I have read positive reviews about Sun Labs before. I'll stick to St. Tropez.

I've tried a lot of sunless tanning lotions and this is another to toss from the list.

I found the product hard to apply and work with, i looked soo streaky even though i tried to blend it properly.

My hands were tinted instantly after applying it on one leg, so make sure you wear gloves!

I didn't even give it a chance to soak in, it looked so horrible that i had to wash it off.

I never write reviews for anything, but i needed to write a review on this to let all potential purchasers know that this product isn't the greatest. Everyone has such good reviews on this, and it sucks!

Thank god i purchased the smaller travel set :/ Next purchase = St. Tropez Tanning Lotion :P

AMAZING! Love this stuff, If anyone struggles applying it - use a mit, thats what i do and i get a gorgeous non streaky tan that lasts and wears evenly.

Smells great, leaves your skin feeling really soft and hydrated unlike lots of other tans, i use both the sun labs lotion and liquid together - always in the darkest colour, i think it's dark sunsation (may have been renamed very dark now i think) i have had many bottles of each which last a while, may be expensive but well worth it, the amount i have wasted on rubbish tans over the years!

Always recomend this, the best tan ive tried by far and thats alot!

I must say this fake tan is overall a very good quality product. I have been using fake tan for approx 8 years now and this one is the best I have tried so far. I ordered the lotion as I have always found it is easier to apply than any spray... what you put on your hands is what you put on ... whereas with any spray, if you spray into your hands it runs, and if you spray directly on to the body it can miss and hit the floor, walls etc. The lotion is quite thick and does take some rubbing in but this bottle will last a while due to only needing to use a small amount. I have the ultra dark lotion and loved the colour that you get instantly. Although I found that one application washed off to a nice colour, when I re-applied it the next day and washed off... WOW... lovely even deep looking tan, natural golden colour. I am a tan-a-holic and love the bronze look, this may be too dark for paler skin-tones and redheads though. I live in Cyprus and will definitely continue to use this product throughout the summer as there is no way I can achieve the golden glow I have got with this product without getting prickly heat. even my bf was impressed and allowed me to tan him, we are both very pleased with the results. The two layers lasted about 5 days before I had to exfoliate & start again. I found it easy to scrub off after about 5 days which is a real good point for me as I have used products in the past that I found difficult to get off once the patches started.. which means cant get an even result untill all old tan has gone ( which means .. shock horror lol.. being pale for a few days)It is very important that you exfoliate thoroughly as the product is quite rich. I didn't use a moisturiser except on elbows and knees as any film left on the skin can provide a barrier between the tan and the skin, my skin was left feeling soft even still. The smell is a light marzipan smell, I found the product similar to Fake Bake & X-en tan, but the results after applying twice, beats both of them products. Yes it's on the expensive side but most fake tans aren't cheap and why waste ten pounds on a low quality product? I also put this on my face and it went fine. I would advise that you use this before bed as the colour guide is quite dark .... but I like that look & my friends are already asking re my lovely colour. Overall brilliant product, dries in ten mins, easy to put on but takes a bit of rubbing in. This product will take some beating and I will definitley re-order, my bf loves it, beats laying in the sun for two weeks and damaging skin. A definite must for serious bronze look :) Sun Labortories (dark sunsation- ultra dark) = one happy bronzed chick !! ONLY USE IF YOU WANT A SERIOUS BRONZED LOOK , happy days .
