Do not agree with comment posted 2006. Used this product for 20 years now and I've never had a problem with it. Does not ever dry out on skin completely. Will not flake. They can't have purchased genuine Clarins product.!

I Was Surprised To Read Another Review Of This Pro
I was surprised to read another review of this product that claimed that it flaked and dried - I think that the user was referring to something else as this mask is creamy in style and does NOT dry out. One of it's best features is that it purifies the skin without drying it.
Even the more specific 'oily skin' mask in the range does not dry on the skin.
There are other masks out there that could possibly be more absorbent or intense in their action but there are none that I have tried that have left my skin - which is combination with no real problems - as comfortable, clean and brightened as this one.
Again, Clarins has delivered on it's claims and at a decent price.

At First I Thought It Was Genius For Clarins For C
At first I thought it was genius for Clarins for come up with a 100% natural mask that helps with blemishes/dehydration all in one! Surprisingly though, Clarins Aromatic Purifying Mask doesn't smell at all nice like the other Clarins products. When it is drying, it comes off a 'flaky' appearance. Once it is washed off, skin looks and feels no different from before, if not a little drier. Not a genius idea after all. It may make you feel psychologically good that you are 'getting rid of dirt and toxins deep down', as it is claimed to be but to be honest I think it is a waste of money.
