Panoxyl 5 Acnegel

This is an exellent product for acne. I got it on perscription from my doctor a few years back and it completely cleared my face. After i ran out my face was fine until recently i started breaking out again. I purchased more but it doesn't seem to be working as well as last time, perhaps because the last was a cream and this is a gel? I'm not sure. That being said it still works, just not as quickly as before, i'm yet to see if it will do the same job as the last one, but perhaps take a little longer. Any advice i would give is to be aware of the fact that missing even one night of not applying the gel/cream can effect all those days/weeks that you have and cause you to break out again, so don't forget to put it on every night. I would definately recommend this to anyone suffering with spots, even if it doesn't completely get rid of them, it will at least vastly improve them.

I have used panoxyl 5 for years when needed, I also suffer with sensitive skin, but still i would recommend this to anyone having troubled skin, yes i also had the burning and itching the 1st couple of weeks.

But once all my skin peeled off, my skin looked lovely and fresh, I personally found it well worth persevering with :))))

I have had v.bad acne for about three years now. I have tried to stop eating sweets/sugary foods etc. I have tried loads of facial scrubs like Clearasil, Clean and Clear, and Neutrogena that are all made for spots but none of them worked. A doctor recommended this, so I aplied a thin layer all over my face. The next morning the massive red spots had become more light pink, and the small pimples had shrinked. About 5 days later after using the gel daily, my big spots have completly gone, all the small pimples have gone.

Yes, your face does end up very dry and sometimes flaky but that is nothing compared to the spotty face I had. There is still slight rednes, but I am sure that will go after a while. I would defo recommend this to anybody.

At first I chose a too high percentage thinking it would give better and quicker results, this was a bad idea because I had to attend school with a very dry and uncomfortable face! I wanted to moisterise all the time, but after pushing past this my skin began to moisterise itself with a week or so and became very soft due to being used to the product. Now I am using a slightly lower percentage and my spots have begun to fade alot! Especially the small pimpley ones. Even a few weeks after I ran out of the product and couldn't go and get more, it stayed clear :)

I started using this at 21, having thought my persistent/angry spots (mostly chin area), would fade with teenagehood - I was wrong. The product is fantastic value (about £3/£4?) and I apply before bed after cleansing. It helps if you apply a good, thin-ish, even coverage all over the face (as directed) and not target just individual spots. Its really helped to fade scars/annoying reoccurring spots and help to reduce redness. Its not an instant cure but, as directed, stick with it! The only downfall is make sure your face is completely dry before dressing/sleeping as the product can bleach fabrics (I make sure to apply after brushing my teeth as the water re-moistened the area and started to fade my towel!) Overall perseverance is key!

I am 32 and up until an age of 31 I have never before suffered from acne. 6 months ago my skin started flaring up and day by day I watched the pimples spread without knowing what to do. I tried the Pill, antibiotics, stopped using make-up, stopped smoking, stopped drinking, changed skin care products, followed the book "The Clear Skin Diet", none of my changes made any difference. I was then recommended Panoxyl, which was the beginning to clear skin. Panoxyl 5% along with Oil of Olay's Active Hydrogel and Clearasil deep pore wash made my pimples go in 3 weeks. I feel very grateful for having been introduced to this product. I thoroughly recommend this product:-)

PanOxyl Acnegel 5 works alright.

It really doesn't work unless you use a wash for example clean and clear wash and then you put the cream directly on the spot, this works a lot better that just putting it on your face that might be oily, doesn't work as well.

This acne cream does take away red spots but make then turn into white head where the puss is and then eventually dries out. which is annoying because as a teenager you want instant results but it is n overall good product .

I put this product on before i go to bed and in the morning the pimple is half the size or gone. It drys it out.

This was prescribed to me after i developed acne during my pregnancy. Ive been using for three weeks now and I would reccomend it on areas that are not seen for a while. It has really helped with the acne on my back, but it does dry your skin out and its made my back very itchy. I would not reccomend using it on your face. I used a small amount on an area on my chin and its flaky, dry and to be honest feels burnt. I have been using body lotion to try and make it go away but it wont and i cant even wear foundation to conceal it. Its not a skin friendsly product but it does "burn" away your acne! Skinoren is better i just cant use it now im pregnant.

Started using this gel and suffered really bad side effects. my two cheeks burned and were really painful. My skin is like leather and is dry and bright red. At the moment I am constantly appling nuetrogena moisturiser in the hope that it will re hydrate my skin. I am so angry that this happened. Would not recommend to anyone
