Serge Lutens Santal De Mysore Smells Like Mustard
Serge Lutens Santal de Mysore smells like mustard incense and syrup. Or cough medicine and sweat. Or Indian food. I'm not certain, but it's one of those fragrances where cumin and sandalwood battle it out and no one wins. I typically love--or at least like--Serge Lutens fragances, but this one just isn't for me. I won't call it disgusting--it's very body-chemisty oriented, and mine just doesn't go for it. No, this I imagine, is more suited to a mysterious gypsy from days of old, all wrinkled and exaggerated and drowning in silky bold orange, brown, and purple materials. It's too sweet, too somber, too spicy...too much.
