Youth Dew Amber Nude By Estee Lauder Has Been Reva
Youth Dew Amber Nude by Estee Lauder has been revamped and modernised, but still recognisable as Youth Dew. Tom Ford the designer, has taken the old classic, moved it around a little, and has come up with a very sensual, spicy perfume that makes you feel and smell wonderful.
I have been a big fan of Youth Dew for many years now, and just love this new version. It is slightly lighter than the original, but equally as spicy with a wonderful warming sensation to it. It has been made to attract the younger customer, as Youth Dew has been around for over 40 years now, and I think Estee Lauder are trying to re-invent themselves as a modern, innovative company who moves with the times.
The new perfume is a little expensive, but a little goes a long way. It is £58 per 75ml, but as it is quite a heavy perfume, but very long lasting, lasting all day at work, and does not need to be replenished. it is ideal for those who love strong, spicy flavours and a perfume that lasts. Highly recommended!
I wish, I wish, I wish I could agree with you. I bought a bottle about 2 years ago and sprayed it very lightly as I know it's powerful, and even in small amounts, it smelled like vomit on me.
I was HORRIFIED!! Just horrified. So, I did do what a reasonable woman would do - I took a long, hot shower. Not good. Still on. Still smelled like vomit.
Fell asleep in pure disbelief and disgust and woke up the next morning - still smelling like vomit.
Showered again. Longer. Hotter shower. Scrubbed till my fingernail broke and got out of the shower - still smelling like vomit. (LOL) Lessened, but still there.
Took three whole days to get the stench off me.
I don't normally smell like vomit but have come to the conclusion that Youth Dew "hates me" like a wild animal, even in small doses!
If it doesn't hate you, I am glad!! :) I have become a big fan of Coco Chanel, and can see how people would compare the two. They are both rich and luxurious scents. The difference is Chanel has a bottom note of "creamy woods" and Youth Dew, on the right person, has the bottom note of "spicy woods." On me, it smells like a combination of spiced, moose poo and vomit, but on the right person, I do agree, it's a beautiful fragrance.
So congratulations that you are one of the lucky ones. xo
