Not Impressed
I have used the old style 30 day mascara in the past and found it ok ish but this new formular one i wasn't impressed with. I firstly wiped my eyes with a cleanser then with face wash and water to make 100% I had no oil on my lashes, I also washed the applications brush to make sure too, I applied the No 1 liquid and left for 1 min, then applied the clear gel and wiped off staright away as stated, I then washed my face but could not see any difference between the one I had dyed and the one I hadn't. :(

Basically It Is Very Fiddly, But You Get Better Wi
Basically it is very fiddly, but you get better with practice and as a box lasts a year you can save a fortune! I'm happy with it!
I saw this advertised and thought I'd give it a go as I normally get my eyelashes dyed at a salon, which costs £12 every 5 weeks. I bought this product for about £5 from Boots, which was an offer price (plus I had advantage points so I actually got it for free!).
It was very very messy to apply. The first time I was quite scared as I know dye stings if it gets in the eye. I applied vaseline around my eyes, and tried to put it on thinly with the fiddly stick-thing that comes with it. After ten minutes I wiped it off using 2 damp cotton balls - one above the lash and one below so that it wouldn't get in my eyes. I was underwhelmed with the results.
The packaging says that if the dye isn't warm enough it won't work. The next day I put it in the airing cupboard for half an hour, then I mixed it so a thick consistency and applied it with an eyebrow/eyelash comb, really thickly (I didn't use as much vaseline as I think it may have got on the hairs before). I was careful to wipe away any drips on my skin. I kept it on a bit longer than it said, and had to stay very very still! It's worked brilliantly on my top lashes, it's not so visible on the bottom ones.
Good points: no need to wear mascara for work, a box lasts a year, cheaper in the long run, only need to apply once a month, didn't sting and didn't stain as much as the one the beautician uses
Bad points: very fiddly, the stick it comes with is pointless, it's not as noticeable as the one my beautician uses, still need to use mascara for nights out/dramatic thick lashes

I Have Had My Eyelashes Tinted Previously In Salon
I have had my eyelashes tinted previously in salons but I find it quite pricey (around £9 a time) so decided to have a go myself.
I bought this kit from Boots, as it was on special offer, a third off - cost £4.99. I saw an advert in a magazine which prompted me to buy it.
I read the instructions and then started to apply the dye, it says to apply vaseline around the eye area first to avoid staining, which I did, carefully avoiding the lashes. Would also like to point out that I did follow all instrcutions, including washing the eye area first to remove any oil
I then mixed the dye and developer with the wand provided, which to be honest was really difficult. The wand is incredibly thin and bendy which makes mixing difficult, and despite mixing for a good 5 minutes it was still quite lumpy, which perhaps may be why this did not work for me.
I applied it to the lashes which again was quite difficult due to the wand, and left it for 10 minutes. After this time I removed the dye using cotton buds and cotton wool as instructed
I was really disappointed with the results as in all honesty, I could not see much of a difference. As Ive had my eyelashes dyed before, I had an idea of the colour they should go, but I did not see any difference.
I tried using this again a few days later but again got the same results. This time I did not apply any vaseline around the eye area in case that had prevented the dye from sticking to the lashes. But again, no difference
Really disappointed in this product. Im just glad it was a third off, as I would be even more disapointed if I'd paid full price for it!
Would not recommend and will not be buying again!
