Love The Foundations And Service Is Nice!
I bought the True Essence Oil free mousse foundation along with the natural finish powder foundation and so far this has been a staple product for me! My skin is sensitive and oily and these two products have done a lot to stop me from getting greasy. The coverage is natural and isn't overly made up. Right now I'm using these two foundation along with my MAC bronzers and the mineral indulgence lip glaze (raspberry) as a full summer look! Customer service from this line is really really nice and helpful but the time to get your products is a little slow so I order in advance. I would recommend this line to anyone looking for mineral makeup for women of color....Im a latina and wear the shade Latte and its a PERFECT match! :)
Great Customer Service And Foundations!
I want to start by saying that I would never discount another writer's opinion. I've had experiences where the postal service damaged my package and I had to ask the vendor (in this case it was Qhemet Biologics) for a replacement too. But my personal experience with Mineral Indulgence has been pretty great and I always get prompt responses and easy resolution with them. In all fairness maybe they didnt get your email? Or maybe they responded and it went to your spam folder? That's happened to me before so just putting that out there. I purchased the Dynamic Duo Cream To Powder foundation from this line straight out, but bought samples of the Liquid Silk Foundation.
The liquid silk foundation arrived to me in great condition in little heat sealed envelopes and were packaged securely in another sealed envelope. I had no spills, tears, or breaks whatsoever.
I ended up being a match for mahogany, however, when I repurchase I will most likely get this shade in the True Essence Mousse Foundation instead as I want an oil free option. I'm not too fond of some products but the foundations from this line are the best I've ever used and I've tried many. I always receive really friendly customer service and have gotten a few samples before in the past as well. Aside from the long shipping time, this is overall a great product line and I will continue to buy from them in the future.
No Customer Service
I was so excited to find Mineral Indulgence makeup for women of color. I could not wait to receive it. Since I wasn't sure of the color that would work best for me, so, as suggested by their website, I ordered a sample pack.
Per their website, if product is received damaged, or if it has leaked, you must contact them within a very short time window. They would then decide if the product was damaged during the shipping process, or due to packaging.
Well, I thought that leakage would rarely occur. So, I ordered the sample package. The cost was around $38, including tax and shipping.
When I received the package, the products had leaked into the packaging, and the colors had run into each other. In other words, it was unusable. Since I did not find a number to call (perhaps I overlooked it in my anger and haste) I sent them an email. I sent the email on February 27, 2012 and still have received no response from this company. I am terribly angry. This was money down the drain. I will never do business with this company.

Great Cosmetic Line With Very Helpful Customer Service. :)
This is my first experience with mineral makeup since bare minerals, and so far I love this brand! I purchased the True essence mousse and creme de la creme along with the powder. I was assisted by a woman named Keema, who helped me on the online chat find a good makeup shade. We were on there for about 30 minutes and she made sure that I was comfortable with my purchase and assured me that I found the correct shade. I wear the shade Espresso. :) Very pleased with the the products so far as well as the service alone.

Godsend! I've Been Using This For A Week Or So Now
GODSEND! I've been using this for a week or so now and have very acne-prone skin!!!!! especially due to stress and hormones- cysts, whitehead, balckheads. No breakouts from it. The Creme De La Creme Foundation provides great coverage and I love it. I set with Clinique almost powder. I love the Mineral Indulgence line right now though so as soon as I use up my Clinique I'll start using their Natural Finish Powder with the Creme de la creme. Oustanding product.

I Ordered During Black Friday. And When Two Weeks
I ordered during Black Friday. And when two weeks later nothing had arrived I decided to write a polite, simple two sentence note of inquiry asking when I could expect my products.
As FYI, I am an artist and have developed a great relationship with several cosmetic companies, so much so that I am used a product tester for a few (I am also a "Top Reviewer" on this site) and I have NEVER had a company treat me with such rudeness and disdain for asking a simple question after I spent my hard earned money to try their products...that is until NOW!
Another important note. I ordered foundation samples from 3 other companies days AFTER I ordered from Mineral Indulgence (one in England and one in Alaska) and all of them had already arrived. I was merely excited to try MI products because they had so many colors and formulas and wanted to know when to expect them considering I'd received products that had were ordered on a later date already from other continents and had not received anything from them or any type of update.
My order was canceled the next day with a ridiculous note that implied that I was somehow inconveniencing them with my inquiry and also implied the possibility that I was committing fraud by having written them to politely ask a basic question (this is all with my perfect eBay and PayPal histories - lol - Fraud...seriously?). It is hard to cancel an order that has already shipped, so it was obvious that after two weeks they had not even made an attempt to ship my package. I was also advised that I should not have forgotten any portion of their several page shipping policy after TWO WHOLE WEEKS which gives them the right to wait TEN (10) days before they even process and ship your order and I should have NEVER had the audacity to follow up on my $30.00 order of samples (including their inflated shipping rate of $10.00). Jaw Drop!
In attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt and an opportunity to prove to me that they did not have the worst customer service EVER, I wrote them and indicated that I would like to be treated like a customer who had given them my money, had only asked a basic question and did not understand why they would cancel my order without first contacting me and attempting some type of resolution (although since I only asked a question, I did not know I need 'resolution' - weird). All I had wanted was an honest answer indicating when my order might arrive.
They responded by giving me more sharp rudeness and insults (the fraud thing again - anyone who asks them a question about shipping is apparently committing fraud...) and told me good luck in finding a mineral makeup company that worked for me. No apology for the initial rudeness. No attempt to resolve what they had now turned into a problem when it was originally only an inquiry. I have NEVER seen or experienced ANYTHING like this from any company I had given my money to and done no wrong to. It is UNBELIEVABLE...makes me think they don't like good customers or money...
All I wanted was to know when I could try new products that I was actually excited about. Now, I'd rather lose a limb than give them my hard earned money for anything and will tell EVERYONE about my experience. I don't think ANYONE should order from them. There is poor customer service and then there is just plain rude and ghetto! I hope my story saves someone else from the hassle and unprofessionalism of Mineral Indulgence...
To my fellow mua I just wanted to point out that Mineral Indulgence does say that they have a 10 day shipping policy on their website. Not sure if you read before you placed your order but I did read it so I realized that it would take about 2 weeks (with the shipping time included)for me to get my order. I am also a makeup artist and the only reason I am writing this review is because I think their cream makeup is a good dupe for MAC shades and my clients love it. I had been looking for something more natural to offer my clients since a lot of them want something healtheir for their skin. The cream makeup is fabulous and you dont have to use a lot to get that flawless look. Customer service was also very helpful with helping me avoid buying the wro0ng shades. I have heard good things about the lip glaze shades so I plan to buy them next time. P.s Mineral INdulgence has GREAT sales but you have to check the site often to catch them and yes it takes about 2 weeks for you to get your stuff but for me it was worth the wait. I just wish they were in stores!
Yes, the woman who runs Mineral Indulgence is very rude. I managed to be be able to stock some of the hair products for resale in London but it was a difficult and tortuous proces that took months to complete. Eventually the hair products have arrived but not the mineral makeup. Every time I enquire there is a tirade of abuse and rudeness. It seems that the products are good, but getting them is hard work.
This review is SPAM. Ignore it. While looking for Mineral Indulgence foundation reviews I have seen this exact same "review" posted in several different places at one time. Notice that the "review" is not a review of the actual PRODUCTS. Whoever is doing this obviously has some childish vendetta and is spamming every website they can to slander this line I have already reported it. It's straight copy and pasted. This person has even made a spam account on makeupalley (her only post) posting this.

I Have Dry Skin, Not Really Dry But It's Dry Enoug
I have dry skin, not REALLY dry but it's dry enough to the extent where I can do "oil-washing" and can where heavier concealers and foundations without breakouts.
The Liquid Silk Foundation I would say is best for people with either normal skin, aged skin, or dry skin. It's not oily AT ALL, but contains oils like jojoba oil and carrot oil so if you don't like oils on your face and you have oily skin this may not be the right foundation for you. However, the oils are so light that it really feels like more of a good moisturizer than anything. It isn't oily one bit.
Anyway when you apply the Liquid Silk Foundation it goes on smooth and the texture is very similar to a moisturizer, I even rub it in the same way. You get an immediate glowy yet matte look and it feels WONDERFUL on the face. The only thing is that the Liquid Silk is best for someone who does not want heavy coverage. Usually people will seek out liquid foundation for heavier coverage, but the Liquid Silk will probably give you the LIGHTEST coverage. If you want makeup without having to put a whole lot on, this is for you. You can leave it on or whatever...it's very friendly to those who want the "less is more" look. I strongly prefer this foundation, and LOVE it for what it does to my skin. Rub it in just like your moisturizer and then spread it out with a makeup pad. Really fast application and gives a great dewy look.
Natural Finish Powder is best for those with oily skin. Tried it and I prefer the Liquid Silk. The powder gives a more even an more matte coverage, for people with like oily skin or mild blemishes. This is for oily skin and really didn't help my dry skin, so i will be sticking the with Liquid Silk.

Mineral Indulgence Liquid Silk Foundation & Powder
Mineral Indulgence Liquid Silk Foundation & Powder Dispensing Brush.
This powder goes on with ease as the original poster stated. Comparatively, I much prefer the Mineral Indulgence mineral makeup over blac minerals (I think I must have purchased their product when they first got started as the coloring was sort of bronze looking on my skin). The customer service is really good as well, my only problem was that I prefer to use natural products from ONE product line and they don't carry mascara or eyeliner or a wide variety of scents in a lot of their products. For instance I like the Kiwi Coconut Hair Smoothie in kiwi fragrance, but my daughter likes the scent in honey almond. the Honey almond scent isn't offered anymore I don't believe. Also, I have a large family and wish they offered all of their products in larger sizing. Other than that I love their hair and makeup products and I love that they are an eco-friendly sista business.

Okay, A Little Background Info About Me. I Have Ha
Okay, a little background info about me. I have had experience with bare escentuals, and a couple of other mineral makeup lines (even the ones for women of color) and have had no success as far as finding the correct shading. Usually the issue that will arise is that the pigments are too red or too itchy (yes for some reason cetain makeup makes my skin itch). I purchased the Liquid Silk Foundation in shade Walnut as well as the Dispensing powder from Mineral Indulgence. The Liquid Silk Foundation is sorta thin in texture, but is very easy to apply and glides on smooth and evenly...a little goes a long way. This product alone gives a very matte "dewy" finish and absorbs into the skin rather quickly. It reminds me of a tinted moisturizer only with better coverage...with that being said, it's very easy to forget you have on makeup with this product. The Dispensing brush took me a while to get used to simply because I have never used a brush to apply makeup before. The dispensing brush comes pre-filled and you also get and extra jar full of makeup as well. This seems like it wouldn't last very long...but it DOES. I initially purchased this product around 9 months ago, I re-ordered from them again earlier this month. So it lasted me almost a year, and I still have a tad bit of powder left over. The powder is easy to apply, and is very "buildable" meaning that if one were to want heavier coverage (I personally prefer light) I've found wetting the brush slightly and brushing over the makeup....then going back over the makeup with the powder gives full coverage....I usually do this as a way to cover my under eye circles.
Because I am of a mixed background I have a somewhat off undertone. The Walnut shade has more of a reddish undertone. I contacted the company and the customer service rep was VERY helpful and told me that they offered customized shading for free. Now that I have my customized makeup, I have to say that this is the perfect match for my skin tone. that I have ever had...by FAR. I've gotten excellent customer service (which is why I keep coming back) from the Mineral Indulgence line, and I appreciate them making a mineral makeup for black and mixed women like myself, so I would certainly recommend to other women of color if asked.
