La Perle Clinic, Is a Awesome Clinic based in London, I was in London visiting a friend. Stayed for a week and seen as me being a girl I had to go and get pampered somewhere! my mate took me here fantastic place and really reasonably prices. I Come from a place Called Wolverhampton its around 135 miles away! and I always use a place called Lush Beauty And Laser Clinic! absolutely fantastic. I would 100000% go to either of these places you wont be sorry :)

La Perle Staff Were Very Rude

Not sure exactly how the business was run when I visited back in 2011. I'd made a booking for 2 massages I bought via Groupon. On getting to the reception and giving our appointment time, the very rude male receptionist said: "didn't you listen to your voicemail that your appointment has been rescheduled/cancelled?" At which point I told him when was that done, to which he replied 10 mins ago. At that point I said to him, I've travelled down all the way from Essex for you to tell us (at the last minute) our appointment has been rescheduled? I just told him straight, we're having our massages done now! They did scramble to get it done but I'll never forget that. Luckily, that was the only voucher I'd bought.

I've been having laser hair removal treatments for a few years now and I've found the most effective for me with satisfaction guaranteed is Court House Clinics. There's one off Harley Street and one in Brentwood. Yes, it costs more but I get what I pay for. So, for those looking for laser treatments maybe worth looking on their website. I genuinely sympathise with you all and glad La Perle has gone into administration.

I have been trying to get a refund for a year following a burnt face and increased hair growth. I am seeking legal compensation URGENTLY.

Hi guys,

I bought a voucher for a full body massage through Groupon. When I contacted La Perle Clinic for an appointment, they asked for a voucher code, which I provided. Later they charged Groupon for my service, but disappeared shortly after and I never could get in touch with them to arrange my treatment. It's simply a daylight robbery...

So if you can get hold of them, I might become your client on this case... I can be contacted at [email protected]

Thanks...

La Pearle Skin Clinic Closed Down! Unfair Trading!

I bought an unlimited pass for 1000 also and only had 1 treatment! i called up the citizens advice and they gave me the number to contact the insolvency service on 08456029848, i spoke to them explained the situation and they informed me that on the 16th of July the company has a hearing and is going to be wound up to determine what is going to happen next. I have not called them back yet, but i intend to do so and find out what their status is. I was informed by an adviser at citizens advice to contact them back once i know their status and then hopefully do something about getting my money back! This is unfair trading, i knew something was dodgy when they asked for cash only because apparently they machine has been 'broken' for weeks.. ! The number for citizens advise is 08454040506, ask for a man called Jack, he was very helpful. I wish you the best of luck, and do inform if anyone has anymore info!!

AB1978

I also paid them 200 pounds in cash for six sessions of IPL, of which I've only had 1. (My next appointment was due this week, but of course they are now closed - I only noticed last week when passing the shop and after several unsuccessful attempts to call them started coming across all these horror stories online) They spun me the same story about the card machine too.!!! Fuming. Thanks for the info for CAB and the insolvency contact - I will be on to these first thing tomorrow.

Good luck with getting your money back because I will not stop until i get mine!!

Its Closed Down

Hi every one

I went with my daughter yesterday to have a massage that I had bought from groupon. As we had read so may

terrible reviews saying if you turn up late they cancel your appointment we arrived extra early only to find that the shutters of the shop were down and the people in the shop next to the salon said it had closed the day before. I wasn't surprised as I had spent two days trying to contact them. My advise is get onto groupon and get a refund ASAP

La Perle Clinic / La Beaute Clinique

On November 2011 I purchased a voucher for Six Sessions of (IPL +RF) that cost £129 and since the beginning I have experienced the impossibility to book appointments online and the inability to contact telephonically because the receptionists of La Beaute Clinique do not pick up the phone. It seems that they have oversold their services through Groupon and they cannot cope with the demand. I have also witnessed how other customers had complaint about the same and how the receptionist laughed and said that they didn’t answer the calls because they had already too many customers. Invariably the receptionists have been consistently rude in all the occasions that I have spoken with them but yesterday they went too far subjecting me to an intolerable discriminatory behavior due to the fact that English is not my first language.

Yesterday I finally got an appointment after having tried to contact on several times during the previous week and it was going to be my third session. Unfortunately I arrived late 8 minutes to my appointment due to train delays and the receptionist told me to sit down and wait and that one of the beautician would attend me, but after 40 minutes waiting and seeing that none of the beauticians that were passing by my side on several occasions without doing nothing were going to serve me, I asked her if she remembered that I was still there because I could not wait indefinitely due to my work commitments.

The receptionist answered to me in a very rude way that she could not tell me how long I would have to wait and not even if I would be seen by a beautician. I answered her that if I could not have my IPL session that she could inform me instead of leaving me waiting indefinitely but she told me that she need not to do so because I had been late. Whilst we were having our discussion and totally out of the blue a beautician got involved and snapped me in a very aggressive way that “I was late and I was only a Groupon customer and that my problem was that I couldn’t speak English”, and she told me to leave the premises.

The receptionist in turn seem to enjoy the racist comments of her colleague and did not do anything to calm the situation, on the contrary they were both laughing at me and being abusive because of the fact that, according to them, I cannot speak English.

After seeing all this, I asked to the receptionist to see the owner but she told me I could not, and that I would have to write to the owner (but she gave me only her private email address: [email protected]) I also asked her to have a refund of my voucher but she told me she could not give me back my money because I had used two sessions. I asked as well that I wanted to rebook my appointment but she told that she was not going to give me another appointment in that moment and that I would have to call another day. They repeatedly dismissed me and they dared me that if I could speak English I would have to demonstrate it, in writing my letter of complaint.

According to this company, the fact of being a Groupon customer together with the fact of not being a native English speaker makes you a less valuable customer. Obviously this company has no interest whatsoever in redeeming the Groupon vouchers sold but it seems to me that their behavior responds to a tactic to make the Groupon customers feel uncomfortable to make them desist from redeeming the full voucher.

All in all, a horrible experience of discrimination on the grounds that I am a Groupon customer and racism on the grounds that I am Spanish and my accent is indeed noticeable although the staff girls were of Asian origin and Polish.

wow

That must have been a horrible day for you

I tried to rebook an appointment and could not get through on the phone. I went down there and complained and they said they answer the phone all the time.

I asked to speak to the manager and as I was waiting you know what i did? I phoned them from my mobile 6 times! Right there in front of them and they did not pick up the phone once.

I told the manager that the receptionist was way out of line and that they better sort out my appointment immediately.

He did.

On the plus side I completed my whole treatment with some really lovely women (who often gave me a cheeky area for free!) and my legs are now 80% hair free!

Burnt At Laperle/la Beaute - Avoid This Place!!

I bought a 6 session IPL deal with Groupon - BIG MISTAKE!!. On my fourth session, i got burnt by one of the therapists (i'd be keen to know what training these people have had). I emailed the clinic and was told that i could not get my money back. I wrote to Groupon who gave me my money back immediately (after seeing photos of my burns). Incidentally, when i told the receptionist that i got burnt, she told me that it had never happened before there. I then told her that i saw another customer come in and complain to HER about being burnt when i was waiting for one of my appointments.

Please don't bother asking the clinic for a refund, just go straight to Groupon. They did not hesitate to give me a full refund.

I also had numeorus problems with appointments and was told that my appointments weren't booked in when i got there.

After 4 sessions, there is no reduction in hair growth so their treatment doesn't even work. I've had laser before and i think it's much better than IPL. I'll never try IPL again.

The staff aren't the brightest and they are incredibly rude. Please don't buy Groupon deals for this place as you'll probably regret it.

I wish there was a no star rating as this place doesn't even deserve one star.

La Perle/la Beaute - Don't Do It

Tonight, I was exactly 12 mins late for my treatment (laser hair removal and yes, it was a Groupon). I was held up on the tube. Despite there being nobody waiting, they refused to fit me in. Ok except last time, they kept me waiting at least 30 mins. The double standard made no impression on the supercilious, unhelpful and frankly over made-up receptionists, one of which turned out to be the assistant Hitler - sorry, manager. Nor could they rebook me for any other time in the next month (after 5pm).

I was pretty furious at the lack of customer care and indifference I was shown but I wasn't shouting. Nevertheless, I was told not to raise my voice at the front desk. Why? There was NOBODY there? Red rag to a bull and yes, I took great pleasure in doing some serious yelling after that.

I decided to cut my losses. I have had 3 treatments and seen absolutely no difference in hair growth and yes, I told the therapists this at the last treatment and the one before. One of them told me (when I showed them the excellent results I had from a previous treatment at Skin at Moorgate) that Skin probably had better and more up to date equipment. I'd agree.

Save your money and go to a proper salon. This lot are a bunch of rude, unprofessional charlatans, offering services they clearly can't deliver in a manner that really shouldn't be tolerated. I object to giving even 1 star but this is the lowest rating I can give.

La Perle Now Seems To Be La Beaute

Hmm, people on this thread may be interested to see that La Perle no longer seems to exist, however La Beaute Clinic is now operating from exactly the same address with the same photos of the clinic on its website.

I did buy a voucher from Groupon for IPL hair removal at La Beaute but having realised in time that its the same place and read all of the reviews, the fact that it seems to have just changed its name & continued to operate seems so suspicious that I've cancelled the voucher.

Thanks you all for your reviews, it looks like you've saved me from frustrating, expensive and likely pointless experience!

Bernigamage

I purchased six courses of e light skin photo treatment via Groupon. Admittedly the expiry date has now well gone, February 2012, but I have not been in a position to take it up. However I just wonder by any chance whether I could still redeem the voucher as I did pay £155 for it?
