Absolutely Useless
I had a long thick brown hair and I wanted something different for new years 2016. I decided to go in and asked them if they could put blonde in my hair and perhaps a new hair cut and blow-dry. The manager was so miserable and never even had any eye contact with me at all. There were four staff who dealt with my hair and they were struggling as they are they are not used to any other type of hair other than thin and blonde. They have damaged my hair as they left the bleach for too long, the cut was terrible and they cant even blow-dry to save their life. It took four people and five hours to mess my hair and requested extra £5 for using extra colouring. Basically, I paid £90 in total for a terrible hair. I went to another hairdresser on the high street and they said they can not do anything as my hair is far too damanged. I wish I never went there and I will never ever recommend anyone to go to uppercut particularly Brentwood branch.

Very Unhappy With The Service And Hair Colour
I selected one of the Uppercut hair salons based on the good online reviews and because it is local. I am getting married in 2 week’s time, so decided to splash out on a more expensive salon with a good reputation, however I am extremely unhappy with their attitude and service.
I wanted to go lighter, but instead they made my hair darker(!) When I told them that I was really disappointed with the colour, they suggested that I either pay full price for highlights or continue to wash my hair so that the colour will eventually lighten. I did not expect a professional hair salon to suggest that I continue to wash my hair until it fades to the colour that I want (which will take significantly longer than 2 weeks)! I paid very good money for them to lighten my hair and get the colour right, not for them to tell me this. Eventually, the manager reluctantly offered me 15% off highlights after contacting the Uppercut Head Office, which is an insult as I had already spent so much time and money there.
I often get my hair coloured and have never ever needed to complain about the colour or cut. I will definitely not be going back to this salon again and wanted to warn others about this place too.
Definitely AVOID all Uppercut salons!! They have very poor customer service and do not know what they are doing. It is not worth the time and money, and if you go, you will regret it.
I totally agree, been through it myself.

Ginger Mess Cost Me Over £ 100
I went to my local uppercut salon 2 days ago , I went in with beautiful blonde hair all be it with a slight root.
I had quiet light blonde hair and wanted this slightly toned down and of course including my roots .
I explained what I would like and left it in the stylist hands , she picked out some colours which she said would do the trick .
She then proceeded to foil my T section with blonde , then the rest she painted with another colour ( which I now understand was a tint ) to cut a long story after the colour was washed out and it was dried , I was quiet mortified as it was darker than I expected. The stylist said it would fade I agreed that she she know best , and I left .
The next day in the light my hair had massive orange tones to it and the ends were a completely different colour. I hated it ! I was so embarrassed and lost all faith and trust in Uppercut . I called another local salon for advice , the lady asked me to come along so she could assess my hair.
She was in complete shock at the state of my hair , her colleague came to assess with her and could not believe a tint had been placed on my hair as this is only supposed to be used on very stubborn greys or someone that's wants super dark hair.
She explained my only choice was to place more highlights in blonde and caramel thru the top and sides to try and break up the ginger, in no uncertain terms she explained it would take months and lots of highlights to get back to my original colour.
So I am booked in tomorrow to spend yet more money to repair this damage. I would not recommend Uppercut to anyone !!
Ps : they also left loads of tint on my forehead ,neck and ears which did not come off with soap and water . I actually took the drastic measure to get it off with nail varnish remover. I cannot imagine anyone who cares to let someone leave a salon in that state . It ruined my birthday which was today and I am out off pocket £ 100 . So so Very very unprofessional !
