The Lounge Soho Unisex Hair Salon

I just had a brilliant hair cut and colour at this salon! I've got fairly short hair and always seem to end up with the same cut and style and am always trying different places without much luck... until now. A girl called Liga cut it and she gave me a completely new look without going too short. The colour works really well too and doesn't look 'fake', which I'm always worried about. I'm very happy with it and will definitely be going back.

I am very happy with my haircut I got today and not just that - the whole service! I travelled to London for just a few days and did my research online to see what people recommend, so came across Soho Lounge. What helped make that decision is that they have online booking facility, so I didn't need to call - I'm just used to booking everything online... They confirmed my booking within hours, then they contacted me asking if I've had skin test for the color before, because I've never been to their salon. A few emails later, I had an earlier appointment and all details arranged! Fabulous!

At salon, they welcomed me with a drink, then my hairdresser (Ferdie) came to talk to me about what I'd like to do. My hair was veeeery long and I wanted a change. And Ferdie listened to what I was saying and immediately suggested what we should do. FANTASTIC!

While I was waiting for my color to kick in, one of the ladies noticed that I was bored so she hinted to her colleague who brought me a selection of magazines they had laying around. Absolutely thoughtful! They're just paying attention and there's actually no confusion, which there could be because there are many girls working there... Color was done by Paula and she also hit exactly the color I was looking for.

I was constantly asked if I need another drink (from juice and coffee to wine!), if they're hurting me while brushing my hair, etc. And these things weren't over the top, I didn't feel like they have this on the script of things they need to say/ask...

I have to mention that my hair is curly, (was) very long and thick, so it wasn't an easy and straightforward job for them. But nobody scratched their head even for a second, thinking what they should do. They're pro.

Anyway, I'm very happy with my hair now, I will definitely go there again next time I'm in London. I highly recommend.

Fantastic place. I have just had a wonderful experience at the Soho Lounge. My stylist was very nice, gave me a fantastic cut, and explained different ways I could style it. At £50 the cut was good value for Central London. The salon is really funky and cool, but the staff are very pleasant, and not at all intimidating. I would unhesitatingly recommend it.

The directions on their website are not all that easy to follow.

I have just experienced The Lounge Soho. My stylist was absolutely great, took time to talk through a new style with me and the end result is wonderful. Best haircut I have had in years. It was a long journey for me but certainly worth it.

Visited the salon after Time Out listed them as one of the best in hairdressers in London and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and very relaxed environment for a hairdressers. My cut was the best I had in years. I felt taken care of and more importantly the stylist listened and advised throughout.

I got a really bad hair cut there. A while ago now but it wasn't like I asked for anything difficult, still the stylist managed to get the weight in the hair cut completely wrong. Looked terrible.

The Lounge Soho is a real treat. It's a very different salon to the run of the mill ones I have been to before. The atmosphere is very laid back and the music is a little louder than I have heard in a salon before, but it really works. My stylist was very sweet and did the best highlights I have ever had (just perfect buttery blonde) with a very classic cut.

I was worried that I would end up with a overly creative, trendy cut but it was nice that just despite the hip Soho location and type of salon you could still have something quite traditional. I will be back very soon and I hope you too have as good an experience.

This a very cool little West-end salon. Hidden away on Peter Street in Soho the interior feels very Soho 'loft' chic. I was given a glass of wine while waiting and a fantastic head massage (bliss) and my stylist was very attentive putting a lot of effort into making my hair look great. I walked out feeling wonderful and realized I had discovered a gem of a salon. I will definitely be returning and I felt I needed to write on here how good the place was after lot's of disappointing salons.
