I went to this hairdresser for some while as the young girl who did my hair was very good . However I constantly heard tails about the owner ripping people off . When my 15 yr old daughter got a phone call late one fri eve from the owner asking her to start work there at 9am prompt the next day ( she had left get number at many places whilst looking for a job ) I didn't want to influence her and put her off especially when she told me she had cancelled all her plans for Saturday . My daughter went to work at 9am prompt she cleaned all the sinks of hair and did all the nasty jobs ( one if the girls apologised n was highly embarrassed ) my daughter was made to clean all day ( not a problem

I suppose as you have to start somewhere and she needed the money ! At 5 pm on a Saturday my son was waiting outside for her at ten past 5 she asked if she could pls leave she was told by the manager "make me a brew and I will think about it " she made this rude woman a brew and was told "thanks for today you av worked really hard we have no jobs at present but may ring if we need you again and believe it or not she wasn't paid a penny . This horrible woman had USED her all day it was absolute slave labour needless to say I haven't set foot in there since and I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy ! I know if many incidents where customers have complained but the owner is so rude and ignorant it falls on deaf ears AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

my grandmother has been going to this salon for some time and when she saw an ad stating that it was half price for OAPs made an appointment for a perm. The appointment was for 11am and she didnt leave until after 3.30pm- wholly unacceptable as she is 85 and a diabetic- she was lucky not to take ill. However, due to the long time she was there- she was unable to wait for the drying process and was just randomly blow dried- however on paying she was told it was 20 pounds for the perm and a further 20 for the 'finish'!! Then when my mother rang to complain about these issues she was verbally abused by a 'gentleman' who told her she was 'scum' and other such insults- this tirade of insults went on for some time as he screamed down the phone at her leaving her extremely upset and shaken. my advice to all would be that at best these people are taking advantage of their elderly customers and at worst being completely unprofessional and abusive! Hairdressers?- they are an absolute disgrace to the industry and dont even know what the words customer service mean! God help you should you go there as they couldnt give a damn about you and in my opinion are seriously unhinged!!! If they are so quick to seriously verbally abuse someone calling to lodge a complaint- God only knows what they will do to your hair and then abuse you should you try to complain. seriously poor form!
