Rimms Hairdressers, Millwall, London

Very overpriced and unprofessional. They have an online system but never seem to get the booking at their end. Hairdressers were really unfriendly and awkward. Also, they didn't apply the online booking discount and seemed to charge higher than the normal price listed .

Did not feel welcome at all and the haircut was rushed even though they had mucked up on their end.

I had booked an online app of 10am i had to wait there till 10 30 with no sign of the saloon opening...i went back again in the evening to have a haircut and there was one single guy managing 3 people at a time...the cut was not good too...this guy did not even know how to blowdry and he almost burnt my scalp...i had to scream for him to finally stop the bullshit...and when i went to pay i was asked to pay 40 pounds for my short hair which i refused and brought down to 30...i would def reccomend this saloon to my enemies though...

Unfriendly and unprofessional staff. The hairdresser who cut my hair was very rude and unwelcoming. He failed to listen to my preferences. They also double booked for the slot that I booked for - very unprofessional. On top of that, they tried to overcharge me - it didn't work! Avoid!

I've been to Rimms yesterday for the first time. Lilli is fantastic hairdresser and she made me look glamourus. I highly recommend Rimms to everyone who wants to look and feel good.

Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. The staff give an excellent service and a lot of personal attention. Admittedly it can get a bit loud with banter between the staff, customers and even the waiting clients but this just adds to the friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend this salon. The cuts and colours are just the same as those in main stream Canary Wharf but here you get the personal touch and the savings.

i have been going to rimms since it opened and i think it is great! the atmosphere is lovely and i feel welcome and comfortable round there. stephen,lilli and monika are fantastic. the beauty bit has recentlyu opened and i have had a couple of treatments and i was very happy with the service. would never go anywhere else for haicuts and beauty treatments :) :)

Great discovery! Super service ( hoping it lasts, very attentive and friendly. Got colouring and eyebrows, both very pleased with. Definitely going back and recommend to people locally. Also very reasonable! I used to be a Toni and Guy regular but they are off the list now; very impersonal and more interested in getting jobs out of the way and twice the price charged at Rimms.

I hope this sustains, especially because Steve is like a one man show.

I had a haircut about 2 months ago. Lili did a fantasti job on my hair. She was very thorough and up to detail. I would say that I had received a totally same service as the more expensive hair salons. The atmosphere is also very friendly. Very relaxed and unhurried even if they look too busy! The only thing that didn't impress me is a very small waiting area, so don't come too early before your appointment. But this is very minor. The fab haircut and gorgeous feeling I got as I step out of the salon us if prime importance! Will definitely recommend!!

Ive been going to Rimms now since February for cuts and colours and have seen Stephen every time.

Ive been happy with the services I've been receiving and i like the laid back atmosphere of the salon.

Last week I went in for an 'emergency fix' (as i had botched a home dye job) and he was completely honest with what he'd have to do to fix it and did a great job. I totally trust him with my hair - and for the price i pay - absolutely no complaints from me!

I visited this salon 3 times now and I would say in general my experience was mixed.

Hairdressing:

First time I had my hair cut by one of their stylist and the cut was horrible, the stylist spent only 8 min on my midlength hair and when she told me the job is done I have to pay for I was in a total shock. The cut was unfinished and very badly done. I did not confront her I just told " Are you sure that is it finished? Because it looks not very nice". She only answered " It is what I could do whit your short hair" .

I have to remind you that my hair at the time was not short and it was shoulder length and only asked for a simple bob cut. Brief that cut was a disgrace and all my friends admitted it.

Second time I was in a rush for a party so the only fast option for me was the same hairdresser which is next to my house. So I went there and I asked for another stylist this time. The other stylist did a very good job indeed and I went out happy this time. So I will definitely recommend her and I will go back again.

Beauty Salon:

As my second experience was good with the hairdressing I decided to try their newly opened Beauty Salon with a simple leg waxing.

The Beautician was inexperienced. She did not know what exactly has to be done. All hair was still there after her waxing and she kept telling me that the hair was too short to be waxed. To be honest I got wax treatments for 15 years from different beauticians and this one was the worst of all. Every time the length of hair was the same and other beauticians got it all clean. At the end the salon owner did not even asked me if I am happy or not and charged me the full price! As a new beauty salon which is opened only a week ago I expected him to ask some feedback and wanting the customer to be happy and spread the word of mouth for them. But it was a total shame , he was in a rush to ask for the fee to be paid in total and goodbye.

Even after 4 days of showering and washing the wax still stuck to my skin and does not come off!

I won't come back to their beauty salon again and definitely tell to everyone to stay away from their Beauty Salon.
