Guisue Hairdressers, Hampton, Middlesex

The team at Guisue Hairdressers, Middlesex are friendly both to me and my 9 year old daughter who is made to feel as important as the next customer, and entitled to her opinion on style.(in consultation with me of course). I would recommend Guisue to all of my friends, and actually people stop to ask where I had my hair done.

I've been going this salon in Hampton for about a year now. Initially I was generally pleased with the results but on Friday I had a horrendous experience.

I'd gone to get my hair cut and coloured and wanted to break away from my faded blonde highlights and return to my natural brunette colouring but retain a sunkissed look at the front. I asked my hairdresser for advice but really none was forthcoming. He requested that I pick a shade of brown and then told me the 'mahogany' colour I'd selected would be 'lovely'.

So I was mortified when I ended up with a deep reddish purple sandwiched with a wide highlighted section in in a yellowy blonde. I now basically look like a beetroot that has been cross bred with a pickled onion.

Like most women faced with a huge hair disaster I was virtually too upset to speak. I just wanted to go home and cry. I did say the colour was not what I was expecting.

So I went back the next day but frankly I wish I had not done so. I felt obliged to go back because I could ill afford to spend even more money at another salon putting right the mess Guisue had made. But on my return I was not made to feel at all comfortable and left after my hair was blasted dry into a shapeless heap.

There are lots of hairdressers in Hampton but this is definitely not one I would recommend.
