Good Product
I love this colour foam. It is the easiest I have ever used. So quick and effortless to the many I have used, which are many. I highly recommend.

Colors Are Off
I purchased dark golden blonde which is the color I have used from other companies and never had a problem. John Frieda's color was way off. It was not golden or blonde. All it was was DARK. It turned out brown. Horrible. It took a week of washing it several times a day to get to a descent color. Never again.

Very Dark And Took Ages To Apply.
Thought I'd save on a visit to my salon so I bought this - BIG MISTAKE! I have just a few greys to cover and have a colour to as close as possible to my natural medium brown hair. So I chose 'medium natural brown' which has come out almost black and is very 'flat'. Apart from the colour I found it very messy to apply as you have to squeeze the bottle with one hand and apply with the other - awkward and took ages. And no, I didn't leave it on for too long. Hoping it does wash out as another reviewer said!
DO NOT USE IT!!!

Excellent Product Except For Covering Grey Hairs!!
Loved the look of the product. Instructions very clear and foam easy to use and apply. Final colour excellent except it didn't cover grey hairs as stated on packet - 100% coverage is very misleading.
Unfortunately as it didn't work for me I won't be buying the product again but would recommend to a friend who didn't have grey hairs to cover.

I Was Excited To Try The New Foam Haircolor. I Nor
I was excited to try the new foam haircolor. I normally use revlon haircolor but wanted to try JF foam. I decided to try the medium golden brown ( same color I get in the revlon brand) The process was soooo easy and I loved the coverage. The con is my hair turned out BLACK! Luckaly my hair dresser was able to tone it down at least a shade so now at least I can live with it until it starts to fade. $54 later, I've now decided to stick with Revlon or next time just pay up and have someone else color my hair. I will not use this product again.

I Have Just Used The John Frieda Foam Colour 9a Wh
I have just used the john frieda foam colour 9a which is light ash blonde. I normally go to the hair dressers but I am short of cash thus month so I thought I would give a d.I.y. dye a go. Before I coloured my hair had turned brassy and I had shocking roots! My natural colour is light brown so you can imagine how horrendous I looked!! Lol.
I put the dye on which was usually applied and hoped for the best- mainly hoping to get the brassiness out and to not look like an orangutang when I had finished. I waited for 40 minutes - even tho it said 30 mins maximum as the lighter the better and when I had rinsed it out I looked in the mirror and not a bit of Orange in sight... result!!
I was slightly disappointed tho as it looked a lot darker than it was before. I dried my hair and to my surprise my hair was perfect!! :D even colour and not a bit of orange! It was soft and shine and smelled lovely!! I would say it was as good as going to the hair dressers. Only it cost me £7 rather than £50
Very very pleased!! I would definitely recommend this product :D Xx

Don't Waste Your Money! I Usually Use L'oreal Pref
Don't waste your money! I usually use L'oreal Preference in Capri and have done so for many years without a problem. I suppose I was tempted by the "non drip foam" claims of this new John Frieda product, as well as the fact it was on promotion at Sainsbury's for £6.99. The RRP is £9.99 so I thought it might be a superior product. I chose colour 6N Natural Light Brown which is comparable to my usual shade Cpari which is also a 6. In short, this John Frieda Foam colour didn't work! Like most permanent colours, you mix the colour into the developer bottle but with this one you don't shake to mix but are instructed to "tilt 5 times only" to mix. You then screw on the nozzle and squeeze the bottle to release puffy foam which you smear first onto your roots, leaving on for 10 -20 mins depending on greys before you use it on the length for another 10 minutes. It foamed up well to start but when I used the remaining product in the bottle for the last ten minutes it had gone flat and wouldn't foam up but simply dribbled out limply. I applied it anyway then rinsed out after the alotted time and used the conditioner supplied. My hair feels nice but colourwise, it looks barely any different! The colour of my roots is still natural and the greys are still visible. I would say my hair has a slight overall "tint", probably comparable to using a very weak semi-permanent colour. There is no money back guarantee mentioned on the box but I think I will write to them anyway as I feel this product is not fit for purpose.
