No Dis-respect To Ant L'homme Fans, But This One W
No dis-respect to ant L'Homme fans, but this one was a real let down for me. Went fragrance shopping in the mall and was reccomended this by a young assistant amongst the fragrance section, so I tried a little. Longevity was fair. But I dont think it was a particularly interesting scent, considering the price ( average at best.) So I politely declined and bought something else which I liked and felt was better value. I think you do have to be careful with some of these bigger brands. Just because they put a huge price on it, doesn't mean it is actually worth it.

This Is One Of Those Fragrances That Will Stay Wit
This is one of those fragrances that will stay with me. It's perfect in the evening and gives one a subtle and sophisticated scent. With one or two sprays it's very discreet. I got very nice comments as well as looks from the ladies. It somehow makes them curious. Use Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme, but don't exagerate the number of sprays since it may get a bit too sweet.

Girlfriend Gave Me A Tester With Yves Saint Lauren
Girlfriend gave me a tester with Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme on to smell whilst out shopping. I can only guess she was trying to pick out a cologne for me for christmas or something. She didn't tell me what it was.
But I recognised the smell immediately as L'Homme. Its one of those fragrances that people absolutely love or hate and would know it anywhere if they smelt it, like Joop. I happen to hate it. (I hate joop as well.)
She was disappointed that I didn't like it but hey! At least I'm sure now when it comes to christmas I'm not going to have to try and discard another fragrance behind her back - or give it to someone else without her knowing. I had that hassle last year!

Very Feminine Scent I Think. The Top Note Of Flowe
Very feminine scent i think. The top note of flowers just doesn't dry down enough in my opinion - why on earth is there notes of flowers in a mans cologne anyway?
It smells a little like Lacoste Red Style in Play - except the Lacoste is much better because it doesn't have a feminine smell.
I feel that any guy who wears this may get asked frequently questions like:
-Why are you wearing a girls perfume?

Yves Saint Laurent L'homme - I'm Not Really One Fo
Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme - I'm not really one for modern / contemporary fragrances. I think this smells alright on younger people but its not for me, really. MY thinking on mens fragrances is that its not what the women want - its what you want as a man. The girls don't have to like it - they can get stuffed as far as I'm concerned. And if a girl really does like you enough, she wont care what your fragrance is, she'll accept you for who you are and put up with your preferences. I wear Canali as my signature scent and original Polo on occasions. They're definitely not contemporary. They are classics. My girlfriend isn't that fussed on them but accepts that they are my preferred scents, as I have accepted that her preferred scent is Lancome Tresor (Though I'm not fussed on that either). Anyway, apart from her I still get loads of compliments from other girls - so sometimes women DO LIKE the older, classic scents
To conclude, YSL L'Homme is alright but its not for me. I might buy it for someone in a younger generation than me though.

I Like This Scent. - Women Love It And I Get Many,
I like this scent. - Women love it and I get many, many nice comments...
Now, I used to wear JOOP (the red one) but find it's almost impossible to wear in the summer without being attacked... wasps seem to love it! - I must admit so do females... When I wear Joop I usually get a pleasant comment from the opposite sex.
My thinking on mens fragrance is that women do not really like the typical old style traditionally worn by men...only the men do. The old fashioned scents, Aramis and Dunhills etc. YSL Jazz falls into this section too are in my opinion such yuchy, tacky mens smells but I suppose if men continue to wear the smell that they like then we enlightened types will get all the attention!
One of the best along with Opium on a woman.

Yves Saint Laurent L'homme - First Of All I Will S
Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme - First of all I will say that I am not an YSL fan. It is a heavily woman orientated cosmetic brand and I feel that its range for men is far from good. Therefore I, as a man, would not give much custom to this brand knowing that there is other brands which meets the needs of men better (like Dunhill or Aramis for example.)
However, on a completely un-biased note I feel that this fragrance has a strong, powerful woody aroma which is long lasting. I do give it credit for that as one of my issues with a lot of fragrances is that their scent simply does not stay long enough.
Perhaps the top scent of flowers is a bit girly for my liking but fortunately it is not prominent for long as the fragrance dries down.
I would still not buy this for myself but would recommend it to anyone who likes woody fragrances and, like me, wants to find one that lasts for a decent amount of time.

L'homme Is A Great Fragrance For Men By Ysl.
L'Homme is a great fragrance for men by YSL.
It's a great mixture of a few fresh high notes like citrus, but it has some (more) deeper notes that are long lasting. So gentle but deep. It's not one of those 'older men's heady make your eyes water' fragrances. It's what I would call timeless and classic, but suitable for any age.
I bought the 60ml bottle (Eau de Toilette) at £33. It's not as pricey as you might initially think, as usually you pay around £30 for 30ml or 50ml, but this bottle will last a long time. You can use the fragrance sparingly (one or two sprays) and it'll last. Initially, when I first put it on I thought I'd just save it for occasions, but the scent is so addictive I wear it every day. It seems to reflect the title given, that my girlfriend thinks it smells manly! For those of you who prefer to vary your fragrance each season, I'd recommend this for the winter.
