Hyundai HYM510SP

Bought July 2020 and used every other week on small lawns - excluding 6mths of winter. Just into Aug 2021 and heard severe rattling - diagnosis is a broken "connecting rod" and verdict is it's a write off.

Bought from Genpower. Good price, and free delivery was included to Aberdeenshire, which is a rare thing these days, and was good to see.

We've had older hand me down and secondhand mowers for years, and our latest one has given up the ghost after about 12 months, so we bit the bullet with a new one. Looking at the reviews and specs it looked like the HYM510SP would fit the bill. We've got about half an acre of grass, and cutting it used to take about 2 hours after the edges were strolled and all the grass was collected and taken away, so I wanted a high capacity capable machine.

The mower arrived almost fully built, 10 mins and it was together, fuelled and oiled up. Made short work of our (now very long and soaking wet) grass. It'll take another couple of passes to get it down to the right length, but it o my took 40 minutes for the first run over with the mulching plug in place.

It's early days but it seems to be a quality piece of kit.
