Stilhaus Kitchens Reviews

Stilhaus Kitchens did a proper job and I couldn't thank the fitters enough. They really pulled out all the stops to get the kitchen fitted on time.

A FAMILY have been left cooking in their toilet sink and doing their washing up in the bath tub because of a company based in Warrington.

The family home has been left in chaos for months after paying £1,311 for a new kitchen from Stil Haus Kitchens.

The family ripped out their old kitchen in preparation for the delivery of the new one from the Bold Street-based company, but when it arrived in September it was damaged and worn and parts were missing.

Since then Christina has arranged five dates for redelivery, none of which has arrived.

The 27-year-old, her husband and three young children have been living in chaos, as they are forced to cook and wash up in the bathroom and use their living room and stairway as makeshift storage for their food and cookware.

She said: “The money was paid in cash and my husband was assured by the delivery man all was as it should be – a lot was in bubble wrap or boxed so my husband couldn’t check properly and was told all was ok.

“Looking back my husband made huge errors with many things but the company refuse to rectify it now they have their money.

immediately saw lots of stuff was damaged, and when I say damaged I wasn’t being picky – this was ridiculous.

“Some of the panels looked like they’d been in someone else’s kitchen for years and there were a lot of things missing.

arranged five times for redeliveries but they didn’t turn up and one time I was on hold to them for two and a half hours.

“Lots of people have this problem – they don’t deliver your kitchen and just take your money.

ve not got a kitchen and I have to do my washing up in the bathroom.

“It’s so inconvenient not having a kitchen – my hallway has pots and pans going up the stairs and I have food stored in the living room.

“We’re having to use the bathroom taps to get drinking water.

“They’re really not a very good company to deal with – they don’t care at all how they treat people.”

She lives in Ipswich, has been on hold for up to two-and-a-half hours trying to rectify the situation.

An online search reveals stacks of similar complaints about Stil Haus Kitchens on internet forums and review sites.

The Warrington Guardian has made numerous attempts to contact the company by phone and email and in person but company appears to have closed.

A spokesperson from Warrington Borough Council said: “Trading standards will and do investigate where criminal offences are identified.

“Where consumers have issues with traders they should report them to the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline who provide the first response for most trading standards services across the country.

“This helps us identify traders causing problems to consumers wherever they live.

“The council receives thousands of complaints each year and working in this way with the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline enables us to protect the most vulnerable and to target those traders who cause the most detriment to other businesses and consumers.”

Pleasantly Surprised

Considering I have never heard of Kitchens at Home, I was pretty impressed with how professional they were. The designer was really good, I don't expect too much from designers as I worry they are going to just try and sell me things but I didn't need to worry, there was none of that which was brill. My husband wanted a white gloss kitchen which I wasn't sure about and the designer (Michael I think) designed the kitchen we picked to how it would look in our kitchen on his computer - that was a little bit special. All in all, I would recommend, ask for the brochure (I prefer seeing things in print than on a screen). Jenny.
