Washing Machine
The washing machine I ordered (Electrolux JLWD1614) (costing approx. £600 delivered 12/07/21) made a squeaking noise on first use. And on 2nd and 3rd use.
I have contacted various people and parts of John Lewis over the past few weeks. Most companies would agree it is not acceptable for a new machine to be squeaking and collect it and send a new one.
An engineer is supposed to becoming out 'to approve an exchange' - I have to phone to arrange that and spent days trying to find someone to contact.
Trying to get through to the appropriate person is very difficult, and trying to get acceptance that a new machine should not be squeaking should not require an engineer's visit.
I have now wasted two and a half weeks and no resolution and have to arrange at my own expense for the engineer's visit. Will never trust or use John Lewis again for major purchases.
Do not order any electrical appliances from John Lewis. My experience has been that the company is a total uncaring shambles.
