I Purchased The Mtw6700tq Bravos Top Loading Autom

I purchased the MTW6700TQ Bravos Top Loading Automatic Washer just over 2 years ago for about $950. My husband complained all the time about the washer not getting his clothes clean. I have more problems with the washer twisting and wrinkling my clothes than anything. For as long as the washer needs to run, you would think it would clean better and be more efficient.

On the last day of warranty, the lock would not release, I ended up breaking it trying to get the washer open, not realizing how it worked. It appeared that there was a mechanical release, but there was not. Anyway, I called the 800#, but they were closed. I called on the next business day and they were trying to give me a hard time about covering the warranty because it was 1 DAY past my warranty when I reached them. Needless to say, I had to ask for a supervisor and finally got them to have someone fix it. If they had not covered it, the part appears to cost about $80 or so plus repair costs.

Now at just over 2 years, I have water all over the floor. Appears to be coming from the circulation pump and the drain pump. We took it apart and found a nickel (how this type of stuff can even make it's way to the pump-I have no idea!!!). Thought we had it taken care of, can't find any other clogs, but it's still leaking quite a bit from the drain pump. Disappointed that I may have to spend $100-200 just to fix the machine.

This is the crappiest washer I have ever owned!!! In my opinion, I should not have to spend any money for at least 5 years on something that was so expensive in the first place!!! The only good thing I can say is that it's easy to use when it's working and I initially liked the style. MAYTAG should recall them and offer to replace it with something that WORKS or give us our money back so we can buy something that does work!!! I previously had a Whirpool agitator style and it worked problem free for 10+ years before giving me a problem and I always overloaded it!

The Machine Controller/circut Board On My Maytag M

The machine controller/circut board on my Maytag MTW6700TQ Bravos Washer failed after only 7 months. This shouldnt happen on a $1000 machine. With this failure the machine cant take cold water and gives you an error message after about 10 minutes. This means you cant wash your clothes at all. It may or may not work on hot water only cycle, but generally if you try about 10 differnet settings it will kick in and work for one load. Then I have to start all over again. Must be a controller/circut board software problem. They should issue a recall.

I expected reliabilty from a Maytag $950 machine. The machine failed after only 7 months.

I Recently Bought The Maytag Bravos Model Mvwb700v

I recently bought the Maytag Bravos Model MVWB700VQ washing machine. What a mistake! The clothes sit in little water and only move slightly up and down during the wash cycle. Some sections of the clothes were never even in the water. It has a clear lid so you can watch the cycles. The machine easily becomes off balance or overloaded (even though it says it is a very large capacity machine). Then the machine throws the extra water over the tub inside and it leaks out onto the floor. According to the manual this is normal! It takes 2-3 times washing the same articles in this machine to get them as clean as my previous top loader washer. I'm attempting to return it - the worst machine ever!

I Have A Maytag Mtw6700tq And My Teenage Son Is Ve

I have a Maytag MTW6700TQ and my teenage son is very active and it is impossible to get the BO smell out of his shirts. My daughter, who is 3, still has an occasional accident and I can't get the pee smell out of her clothes or her sheets! I called for service and they told me it is working like it's supposed to, really? This is not a cheap washer, it was supposed to energy efficient and better for the environment, but I have to wash clothes 2-3 times to get them clean.

I found this review helpful because... I also am washing 2 - 3 times on all loads to 1) get the soap dissolved and 2) rinse the load. Way less energy efficient than my old machine.

I Was A Bit Skeptical When I Saw A Demonstration O

I was a bit skeptical when I saw a demonstration of a high-efficiency washer at my mother-in law's as it looked as if there wasn't enough water to possibly clean the clothes. She seemed happy with hers (not a Maytag), so I went ahead and bought this Maytag MTW6700TQ Bravos Washer. How I wished that I had researched this brand first!Loads come out smelling like laundry detergent, but the stains and dirt are all still there, even after 2 or more washings. I have even tried the "Super Load" option with stain removal to no avail. Jobs that were simple for my previous 35-year-old washer like underwear and socks are too much for this model. Even a load of a single queen-sized sheet failed to produce a clean item. Like other reviews have stated, there simply isn't enough water or agitation to produce clean clothes. You can watch the whole process through the clear lid. The washing cycle is like putting your clothes in a big pail, pouring enough water over them to get them wet and then turning the pail gently from side to side for a few minutes. The majority of the load just sits there motionless.I am trying to get my money back from either the retailer or Magtag, but obviously this is going to be a tough fight. Luckily I didn't throw out my old washer or else I'd be off to the Laundramat.Bottom line: DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG MTW6700TQ.

I found this review very helpful because... It confirms what I am experiencing. And Maytag says I'm the only one with problems. If the machine had a sensor for load size it would help. It doesn't rinse either!

This Maytag Mtw6700tq Bravos Washer Has A Sensor T

This Maytag MTW6700TQ Bravos Washer has a sensor that determines the amount of water that should be used for the amount of clothes added. I have the see through lid so can watch the wash. The water level does not cover the clothes. When I add a large load, the top layer of clothes just move around on the top and do not mix in with the rest. The dark clothes have to have 2 or 3 additional rinses to get the residue out. If I am noticing it in the dark clothes, then it is in the lighter clothes as well. My husband washed his jeans that had soil on the knees from gardening and it didn't come out.

I have called Maytag and a repairman came out. I was told the water level is normal and I am NOT using too much soap so as far as I'm concerned, this washer is poor. It may be trying to save energy but when I have to keep rewashing, how does that save energy?

I called Maytag again and as far as they are concerned, there is nothing wrong with the machine so it's back to the store we go and I will never recommend this machine to anyone.

I found this review helpful because... it is correct! I was finally told by our local Maytag repairman (who is terrific and has tried every fix Maytag has to offer) that there is no load size sensor! Once they fixed the impeller issues I too have knotted and destroyed clothing!

Now I am dealing with Whirlpool (the new Maytag owners) to see what they will do for me. Way too much money for such work and no one at Whirlpool returns calls.
