Kenmore He Poor!

Very noisy. Regular spin is so strong it permanently "presses" wrinkles into clothes! And, soap stays on clothes due to very little water used during wash cycle. Only way to avoid this is to use "bulky" setting & also select 2nd rinse, which defeats purpose of low water usage.....we would NEVER purchase again! At least bulky setting also reduces spin so clothes do not come out a wrinkled mess.

Love Mine, Be Fair, Usually Only Bad Experience Gets Review

This washer runs mostly heavy jeans and work clothes soiled by grease, hydraulic fluid and more, as well as saddle blankets - but a quick rinse of its stainless steel tub, and it does bedding, towels or even heavy comforters. I love the fact that it does not seem to wear out my jeans as rapidly as a normal agitator, it cleans well and the

I Wish I Had Read All Of The Reviews Before Buying

I wish I had read all of the reviews before buying this p.o.s! I had read in consumer digest that it was a great washer, energy efficient, gentle on cloths. I had problems the very first time, had the repair guy out he fixed it, 4 months later the pump went out! I went online, found the pump and repaired it myself, screw sears! I always found dirt in the dryer, the clothes were still dirty and I kept getting error messages when the damn thing got suds locked! I tried to sell it but my conscience wouldn't let me, no one should be saddled with #$#%! like this. I finally got a LG front load wash and dry, LOVE IT! Sears should be held accountable for selling such a lemon, but of course to consumer gets it in the end!

This Is The Worst Over Priced Machine (both The Wa

This is the worst over priced machine (both the washer and dryer) I have ever owned. I too bought this machine because the new technology would be better on clothes more gentle without an agitator to beat on the clothes and the auto sensing is useless. The dryer will say things are dry when they aren't even close. This machine leaves marks on everything and sometimes the load will come out smelling just horrible like musty moldy. DO NOT PURCHASE one of these if they even sell them anymore!

The Kenmore Calypso Top Loading machine is a bad product overall. the clothing gets twisted and wrinkled. It is not reliable. I have spent a lot of money fixing it. Now I have to buy something else because I am not going to sink more cash into it.

Don't Try To Wash With Kenmore Calypso Top Loading

don't try to wash with Kenmore Calypso Top Loading using what they consider maximum amount of items. need to dry areas of moisture after using. Keep lid open to help drying of interior. been in use for 4.5 years. still looks like new. machine is used almost daily with 3 loads some days.don't mix cloths; shirts with shirts, towels with towels, different types will tend to group together and cause unbalance,

this machine is more sensitive than the older style units but I think that is due to the design.

This Is By Far The Absolute Worst Washer I Have Ev

This is by far the absolute worst washer I have ever owned. It makes me sick to my stomach to think I paid $1600 for this washer/dryer combo. I purchased it thinking I would never have to buy another washer again, it was perfect looking. Looks are so deceiving. Every time I wash our laundry, we end up with brown mold on our clothes. Our clothes smell musty too, especially the towels!! I have tried running bleach through the washer, leaving the lid open between loads, etc. but nothing seems to work. Also, when I try to select the water temperature, half the time the buttons won't work, so I have to keep pushing the button over and over for literally about 5 min., then it will usually, finally work, but it is just ridiculous to have to go through all of this. I wish we had the money to buy a new, regular washing machine, with manual controls and everything. I never had any problems in the past with my regular top-load washing machines. I am so disappointed with Sears for making such a terrible product.

I have had numerous problems too. Sears informed me that they will no longer service the machine because I have called about the same problem two times. It has actually been three times as the first technician tightened the screws on the lid telling me that was the problem! We have an issue where the washer beats up our clothing so badly the bra underwires come out (even when washed in a lingerie bag) and get stuck in the washer. Sears says this is not covered under the repair policy! What a waste of money & horrible washer. We also have horrible smells in the laundry area when the washer drains. I've filed complaints with the BBB, Sears, and the attorney general's office - still waiting to hear back and hoping for a fair resolution. This machine should not even be on the market!

This Is The Most I Have Ever Spent On A Washing Ma

This is the most I have ever spent on a washing machine. I tried to force Sears to take it back from the beginning. They led me through a long process of requiring service calls before I could return and then told me "Sears is NOT in the business of exchanging washing machines." I can't afford to buy anything else and this machine has literally ruined my life. It ruins anything washed in it, nothing comes out clean, clothes that have been washed together safely for years have faded all over each other - and I use cold water! Clothes instantly look worn and old after washing in this machine, if they aren't ruined outright, and I have had many things literally torn to pieces. Any thin material or anything with trim is guaranteed to come apart after a few cycles. Seams come apart and and lace is ripped off no matter what setting I use. There is no longer any such a thing as 'wash and wear'. No hope of just putting what comes out of that thing in a dryer and shaking and folding without having to iron like I've always been able to do with many types of clothing. Everything comes out tied in unbelievable knots that are almost impossible to get apart, not just wrinkled for that cycle, but with permanent incredible creases that can't even be ironed out in many cases. They are trying to tell me this is less wear on clothing and linens? An outright lie and Sears knows it. Not only is it not less wear, even just one cycle in the machine makes everything look like it's ten years old. Nothing comes out bright or even smelling like it's been washed. I know these machines are tearing up everyone's clothes because they sent a service person to replace the center agitator or spinner with a newly designed piece, and the serviceman himself told me they had to replace all of them and that the machine was no good. It made no difference at all. If I want to save anything I have to handwash or send to the cleaners, which I can't afford. I just heard about a class action lawsuit against Sears, but it's too late for me to join it. I've always had mountains of laundry to do always because I have three sons, so the effect it has had on our life is unbearable. There is nothing you can do about it, no remedy if you buy this machine.

My Fiance's Parents Gave Us This When Our Initial

My fiance's parents gave us this when our initial one died. They didn't like it so they had bought a new one. Now I know why they didn't like it! It constantly marks up my clothes with these nasty dark streaks that look like grease. After doing research, apparently the U-Joint/Transmission is submerged in the water but must stay greased to work. Thus, the grease on my clothes! I cannot even begin to explain how frustrated and angry it has made me.

This Machine Looks So Deceiving. It Is Classy Look

This machine looks so deceiving. It is classy looking with lots of "special features", but sadly it doesn't work! The design is flawed as the seal under the tub leaks grease when it spins. The marks are almost impossible to remove and the machine is too costly to repair. My advice "Buy the least expensive machine with the most simple design, with the features you need, and it will last as long as your mothers!
