Indesit IWD61450 Washing Machine

This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased the paddles broke twice within 3 months and are not covered by warranty but need an engineer to inspect and try and blame the customer. All we want is a refund and keep getting frustrated with scripted call centre run around from indesit and currys. When buying the machine there was no mention of weak plastic paddles breaking which are not covered by warranty. In fact there is no such thing as customer care. I am going to inform trading standards with regards to poor quality goods and a non resolved approach to customer care. No doubt they will say if you pay more money with our care plan then your covered blah blah blah

Had my machine now for 10 months, emptied my washing load only to find one of the plastic paddles had sheared off leaving sharp metal objects protruding through the drum, its a wonder my wash load was not ripped to shreds!!! I rang Indesit to be told I had to wait 1 week for n engineer to attend..

Really not happy and would not buy another Indesit if problems like this occur so soon after purchase..

Always I got a problem from New. All the time is flashing somme error... the .... wash mashine which I use in my life.

Simply the worst washing machine I've ever seen ! Only ran for three months when the motor began making a loud noise and make matters worse it started blowing out the fuse box RCD safety switch . Now the paddles are coming loose , what's next the drum might desire the take a spin down the road . But seriously this machine should be removed from sale or rectified .

I seem to have had the same problem as other reviewers. My year's free guarantee ran out last month and now with no warning two paddles have sheared off in the same load. Very poor performance when previous washing machines have struggled on for at least 4 to 5 years before giving up the ghost. I would not recommend this indesit model at any price however appealing the 15 mins express wash may seem.

bought this washer 6 months ago, had a years free warranty with it. Last week we noticed the drum paddles were lose and by the end of the week not only had they come off but they also managed to rip all the washing to pieces. As we had the years free warranty we rang indesit and they arranged for an engineer to come out. Apparently it is a £110 call out charge and another £100 to have the drum fixed. Its cheaper to go and buy a new washer. I dont understand how a washing maching can break after 6 months, be under warranty yet they still want to charge all this money.

Worst washing machine I have had in 30 yrs, have had to buy 3 new paddles for drum in last 2 weeks, machine is only 13 months old. 5 years parts guarantee, very misleading, only applies if their own technicians install and then again the paddles don't come under the free parts guarantee,so no joy there, don't ask me why as the paddle is a part but obviously not in the usual category, sorry but would definetly not buy an indesit machine again.
