Great Performance But Unreliable, Great Customer Service
We've had our CR02 about 10 years. We've now got 4 kids and it does 2 loads a day. I would say it's done over 6000 washes. We paid about £800 if I recall, so that's about 13p a wash. Not bad.
Washing performance has always been perfect.
It has, however, had its fair share of issues. Faulty circuit boards and displays seem to be the worst, ours must had had several replaced.
So on top of the £800 I would guess we have paid for 3 services in 10 years, that's about £300 extra.
I will say, though, that the service over the 10 years has been amazing. Always available within a couple of days and engineer does EVERYTHING. Even things that you had no idea that needed replacing, get replaced. And if he spots something that needs doing and he does not have the part, he turns up again a couple of days later (always leaving the machine working of course) and simply sorts it.
So I applaud the efforts to be innovative, I applaud the fact that a Brit has got off his rear-end and done great things for engineering and the country, and applaud the amazing customer service. Bit of a shame this particular cracking idea turned out to be less than reliable but overall I'm glad I bought the machine.

Good Looks But Over-engineered And Always Faulty!
The Dyson engineer may as well have his own door key! I have virtually every part of it replaced, it looks the door on you and holds your knickers to ransom until the general 2 week wait for an engineer! I have had the same particular problem happen five times, I'm not going to fork out another £99 when it will only go wrong again in another 13 months - which will be another payment! Dreadful machine, poor customer service and weeks to wait for an engineer! I really wished I'd purchased a Miele.

I Would Not Buy Another Dyson Washing Machine. I H
I would not buy another Dyson washing machine. I have owned my Dyson CR02 Flowcheck for just 4 years and in that time I have had the engineer out at least three times. This is poor in comparison with the hard working reliable machine that I used when my children were young and then the machine was used daily - often twice daily.
I am not convinced that the twin drum was more effective and I never got around to using the extra large capacity.

After Over 3 Years Use, A Few Days Ago Our Cr02 'd
After over 3 years use, a few days ago our CR02 'door lock light' wouldn't go out when the programme finished, so the washing couldn't be removed. After reading that Dyson have a standard call out charge of £85 I phoned our local repair man who said he could fix it and would charge £45 call out. He was very helpful but busy and hadn't turned up by 5pm so I decided to open the machine myself, after unplugging it. The top comes off after removing 2 screws at the rear but it isn't easy to go much further; however I saw a ribbon cable (rather like you find in a PC) obviously carrying electrical signals. I unplugged it and re-plugged it, then refitted the top. After switching the electricity on again - the door light had gone out, and the machine is working normally again!
I assume that the plug had been loosened by the machine vibrations.
I hope this may help others with this problem.

Bought My First Dyson 6 Years Ago Had A Problem Wi
Bought my first Dyson 6 years ago had a problem within the year which they came out and fixed. Had another problem outside of warranty (due to daughter putting something in the machine which blocked it) and they again didn't charge me for the repair. 2 years ago I broke the soap tray and contacted them to see if I could buy another and they said they would send an engineer as I was due an upgrade to the electronics (again free of charge). When the engineer came he said the drum was out of alignment and needed replacing (even though the machine had been working fine) I was then contacted by Dyson who said it was not economical to replace the drum so they would provide me with a brand new replacement as they would expect their machines to last longer than 4 years.
The new machine has, after 2 years, developed a fault where it washes then comes up with an error code F15 and doesn't click into rinse. However I can turn it off and back on and then select rinse and spin and it finishes the wash off. Not sure what F15 is - am a little worried as have lost a bra wire!
Having bought one of the first machines Dyson brought out I suppose it is inevitable there was likely to be teething problems - however I cannot fault the after sales service.
I feel another call on Monday!

As A Mum With Four Children And A Husband At Home,
As a mum with four children and a husband at home, I rely on my washing machine "doing the job". I have practically had my whole machine rebuilt. If you are considering buying this - make sure you take out the extended warranty as call outs are £85 a time.
The control panel is not sealed - given that most people have their machine next to the sink, this is a major problem. I am now on to my fifth control panel. I have also had problems with packing screws not being removed at delivery, motors (both of them) have gone and been replaced.
My current problem is the belt - more call outs. Not so much a problem if you have someone at home and if they could give you a service appointment sooner than eight days away!

So Far We Are Happy With This Dyson Cr02 Flowcheck
So far we are happy with this Dyson CR02 Flowcheck. This machine looks great ("it's a monster", commented a male visitor admiringly). It's intuitive to use, but the manual is so well written I read it anyway. Has a handy coin trap, and child lock that has so far mystified our 2year old. You can fit a very large load of laundry - about double our old standard sized Zanussi, even though it's rated at only half again the capacity. You can get at your washing as soon as the cycle has finished - or as soon as it drains if you stop it in mid-cycle; our old machine had a door lock that stayed locked for a couple of minutes. Although it's hardly silent, the noise it makes is sort of a gentle background whirring, not unlike a wheel spinning. It's certainly not a standard washing machine noise (our last one used to sound like planes were landing). So far it's coped with everything we've given it. It even has a special duvet cycle - and we've tested a Superking duvet in it, with success.
It has some faults though. It has two doors, and the inner door really needs to be slammed in order to shut (it tells you if it's not shut). It also stands proud of standard kitchen cabinets, so it doesn't suit corner positions where it could block cabinet doors and drawers. It is installed by Dyson's very own engineers, but I was disappointed to find that he didn't do anything fancy - just installed the machine, which frankly I could have done, it's so well designed. He wouldn't even wire it directly into the existing point (our old machine was directly wired in), so we had to string the flex up over the kitchen counter and plug it in next to the kettle.
One of the biggest concerns I have is that Dyson's have stopped manufacturing these. I don't know how long it will be possible to get spare parts if they're needed. They still have stock in the warehouse, and I assume there is a reasonable stock of spares, but someday the replacements will surely become an issue. So far, thankfully, nothing has gone wrong with it.

The Dyson Cr02 Flowcheck Is A Good Looking Machine
The Dyson CR02 Flowcheck is a good looking machine with good delivery, however, do not expect to pay this kind of money for something to go wrong immediately and not be offered a replacement.
