Beko WMXD760W

I bought this washing machine to replace a 6 year old Blomberg(the bearings & element had just gone). I did a little homework and read a fewreviews on the net, according to most reports the Beko brand was quite reliable.

Not so.. it seems that after being used once per day 5 days per week the bearings have failed, along withthe element, the suspension etc. Cost to repair.. £200.. so am not impressed by this brand for reliability.

The machine itself looked good, drawer a bit flimsy, but the front panel seemed sturdy enough. Large porthole is a bonus, 7kg max wash load, and lots of programmes: 15min quick wash, 30min 30 degree wash, a 1hr 60degree wash. I must say that it did wash well when it was working and it was extremely quiet when washing and spinning (until now..it sounds like an aeroplane landing). I was impressed by the features for the money, ...it has a time delay function on it which can be used to delay your wash load for up to 24hours.

The green lcd panel was clear to read, with time remaining. Child lock very simple to use. Auxilary buttons you could use are No spin, Extra rinse, Quick wash(shortens wash time), Extra rinse, Anti creasing, and each one was clearly lit up when in use. I also found helpful the progress indicators on the front panel so you knew which stage it was at when in use.

Unfortunately 2 years isn't any time at all for a washing machine to have major faults in my opinion, so I will not be buying Beko again. I didn't actually realise it either that the guarantee for this machine was only 1 year... there was no parts guarantee after the 12 months had gone, like my previous machine.
