Beko WMA520S

Beko please explain why when calling your 08000094837 I am told you are busy and I get cut off? Why do you not allow us to wait and have a queuing system as does BT. I have been trying to contact Beko all week and their handling of this life threatening disaster is appalling. Also I do not like the cavalier attitude as shown by their CEO?. He would not have one of these potential death traps in his home so they are not really bothered but just make a slight effort if you are one of the lucky ones to get through. This is a very half hearted approach and its taken so long for this information to reach the public.

Quite frankly this is not good enough and their poor system of receiving calls needs to be updated. I also tried emailing this disaster and guess what my email was returned.

I have had my Beko WMA520s for 5 years. I do washing every day an average of two loads a day. I found the machine easy to use, the programmes were great, loved the extra spin cycle the clothes came out nearly dry. I am now looking to buy a new one as the paddles have come off the inside and something has happened to the motor or something and it no longer works. According to comet, the average life expectancy of a large electrical appliance is 5 years which is how long I had my beloved Beko. I am very sad that it has come to the end of its life and will miss it dearly :(

Our first beko was replaced 6 months after purchase due to a

number of electrical faults and a smashed drum. Only used it twice a week

during the short time we owned it. The replacement we've used for

about 18 months. A few months ago we heard a massive bang and

the noise from the machine (when spinning) is terrible. I can no longer

use it since we live in a flat. I tried to get it repaired but have discovered

I have the same issue as most over reviewers. The concrete block was

on the floor and the screws were snapped! I'm disgusted that such a

number of people have the same issue with the machine and they are so unhelpful.

I will never ever buy another beko again... Wish I read reviews earlier!!!!!

In January 2010 the electrical motor went and blew the lights in the house

Now this month - the door blew up like a bomb on the cleaning cycle so there was nothing in there to hit the glass. JUST wanted to warn you as children like to look at washing machines and if i hadnt put my son to bed there would have been serious trouble.

I am getting a new machine through insurance as i told them i will not have it repaired under any circumstances!

My beko washing machine is about 2 and a half years old, it has started jumping all round the kitchen and some bolts snapped and the brick has come away from the bottom. After reading your reviews it looks like this is a very common problem. I think it is discusting.

I bought my Beko WMA 520 washing machine in silver just over a year ago and up until a week ago it was doing fine, good washing and no problems but then it started banging and vibrating horrendously and a small leak developed. After looking at the machine I discovered one of the bolts had sheared and the concrete weight block was banging around.....common problem it seems.....having read the comments on this site i am not hopeful of beko's customer services but i'll give them a chance. Will definately force the "fit for use 6 year protection we have in the UK" and see where I get too. But this is not acceptable and all of us consumers should really fight this sort of thing, trouble is all of that takes time and energy and often money. Until this problem is fixed don't buy a Beko machine!

Same old story 2.5 year old beko wma520s, violently vibrating on spin cycle around the kitchen. Apparently bearings have gone £120+ job, the independent engineer i had look at the machine said BEKO are notoriously poor, he wouldn't even take it off my hands for spares! All this from a person who would have made money repairing but had the decency not to bother fixing one of this dud machines, to his credit. Machine was cheap though and you do get what you pay for, however, it's not unreasonable to expect any washing machine you buy to last longer than 2-2.5 years, or is it me? call beko services with your response they won't be bothered though

The Beko WMA520S is poorly made, concrete has come away from bottom TWICE! Declared unsafe by comet within 6 months and had to be replaced. Now 2 and half years old, out of warranty having to look into purchasing new machine as not going to be worth attempting repair if the whole of the insides need to be replaced, as the bolts that snapped away are still stuck in the outer drum and there is no way to get them out!! Although the washer is still sort of working, it bounces around the kitchen!

I bought one of these Beko WMA520S for my daughter (single woman mid twenties) who used it once a week. In the first day the paddles sheared on first wash, reported to BEKO service who fixed it after 3 weeks!

Over the last 2 years it has jumped around the kitchen, reported again but they were not interested unless I agreed to pay a callout fee!

Now bolts have sheared and the concrete ballast has dropped off the drum (surprise surprise, see other reviews).

Now in negotiations with Currys over repair.

I am now faced with having to purchase a new washing machine as my Beko WMA520S balance weight has fallen off after the bolts holding it sheared off. This is unacceptable on a 2 year old machine that is only used 3 times a week for domestic use, i have complained to Beko but wont hold my breath.
