This machine should be avoided at ALL costs. Vibrates like a tornado going through your house. YES it WAS properly installed. Only suitable for stone or tiled floors. This machine worked for us for a grand total of 3 months from brand new. Cost us just under £600. After this, it never worked right again and customer care was useless. DO NOT buy an LG washer dryer unless you want to throw your good hard earned cash down the drain. We're just about to dump this piece of junk and take delivery of a new Indesit washer dryer. Had enough of this useless machine after 4 years of leaks, dryer not working, smelly supposedly cleaned clothes. I could go on and on but I'm now washing my hands of LG washer dryers. They should be banned from making washing machines and made to stick to TV manufacturing.

I am into my sixth decade and have raised a family and consequently had many washing machines, and a much heavier demand in past years, but this is the worst machine I have ever owned. Even when newly installed balanced ect the machine rocks every time the Direct Drive kicks in and the dryer seldom works. After sales service was a very bad joke. Faster to take your clothes to the nearest river and beat them into submission as this machine take Hours (Literally) to wash a light load.

Paid £609 for this pice of junk and has now stopped working mid cycle.Just out of warranty. No lights nothing. Have contacted LG and told they will send an engineer for £130.I would have expected a unit like this to last far longer than this. When it was working it wasn't very good. Have to use the 95 deg setting and pre wash at that temp to get anything clean. It's noisey and takes an age to do a cycle.There are loads of different settings but you actually only ever use 2 or 3. It's almost impossible to move as there are no wheels on it.The only good thing about it is that you can pre set it to come on later. I certainly wish someone had advised me not to buy it. Don't waste your money buy something better.The after sales service is very poor. When you try to use the LG instant chat they talk to you like you're stupid and keep repeating the same questions even after you have answered them.Then they'll say you need an engineer to come out. Over all not a satisfied customer at all. I won't buy LG again

I have recently bought this washer dryer, and was a bit nervous it wouldn't be very good having had a useless washer dryer in the past. This one however is better than i could have hoped for. It drys like a normal tumble dryer and has a great selection of programs. It is really quiet on all the programs and very easy to use as long as you don't try to follow the instructions!

The booklet that comes with the washer is the worst set of instructions I have ever seen. One problem people seem to have is how to put the washer on a dry only cycle. Just turn the washer on, and only turn the dryer knob on to whatever cycle you want to use, then press start. I just worked the programs out by messing about with the buttons. There are lots of lights that tell you exactly what you are programming in.

It seems like the washer weighs every load and sets its time accordingly. My laundry has always come out completely dry. The wash dry setting is great although I've only used it on things that don't need ironing like towels.

All in all although this machine is at the higher end of the price range, I would recommend it. I have a family of 4 including 2 very dirty small boys and I can do a weeks washing in about 4 loads the drum is so big. And the best thing is the washer sings you a little tune when the loads finished. What more can you ask!

Bought this over a month back. Easy to install. This machine has a direct drive operation, generates less noise as a result. Large capacity wash and dry loads enables less electricity use. The wash and spin performance is excellent. The clothes are almost dry at the end of the wash cycle. Once clothes are loaded it automaticaly mesures the weight and adjust the time for both the wash and drying cycle. If you have a big family then this is the machine for you. Comes with 2 year warranty as well. You will be paying out lot more compared to other machines with less capacity but in the long run you will be saving money. At the end of washing/drying cycle it will play a nice tune and switch itself off saving electricity.
