Parts To Expencive, No Worthly To Repair So It's For 5years

It is not reliable one. I have use it for 5years and have to replaced by new one as bearing needs to be replaced. It cost just 11GBP but tumble is glued in this model so you need to replaced all for 130GBP what is simply not wort to do. Dryier not impresive, leaving smell on cloths, I have use this feature just few times in 5years period. I lost rust to Hotpoint at all. I also have a couple times problem with water traped during washing and Fault errors show up so have flood in a kitchen. Only good think is a spin speed, impresive 1600, so clouths quite dry after washing, I just have feeling that to week materials havee been use when produce and can not perform long enough. I am not recomended it to nobady!! If I would now yhat this is not reperable model I would not boy it!!!!

Washer Ok But Tumble Dryer Unusable

I bought one of these for the obvious convenience of having two appliances in one, straight away I noticed a horrible smell of oil (which transferred onto my laundry) when using the tumble dryer cycle. I called the engineer out but he just said it was because it was new. I persisted with it for a while but the smell continued and I got nowhere with hotpoint so I bought a separate tumble dryer.

Now five years on and I've never had a problem with the washer part of the appliance except for the door seal which has just gone and I have a choice of paying £100 for a new one to be fitted or £250 for a new washing machine (not washer/dryer).

My new washing machine is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.

Terrible Unrelieable Item - Appalling

Absolutely awful - constantly brings up an F13 error, which stops it from working 9started this after 11 months - we were lucky and caught t just inside the warranty). We've had multiple engineers out, who have only managed to get it to work for a couple of months before it breaks again. Its broken down 5 times in 2 years, but we've resorted to only calling someone out once the error doesnt disappear when you unplug it and plug it back in again. . One engineer told us its sold with a known fault where the electronics need reprogramming, so you end up washing it with cold water without realising. Also, the filter for the lint from the tumble dryer requires you to complete take it apart - you have to remove the top and the back and then take some parts out. Our engineer recommended only getting a qualified Hotpoint technician to do that, which will cost you £100 a time every 6 months or so. Words cannot describe how terrible this machine is.

I Bought This Machine To Replace Hotpoint Ultima W

I bought this machine to replace Hotpoint Ultima which I had for 14years. This machine is supposed to be super silent but is just as loud as the old one. My son & daughter both have the same machine and we all suffer with the problem of washing dark colours, everything black has white streaks. We all use different washing powder, I have used the same one for 40years never had a problem until this machine. The dryer is a joke you can't select a low time just to fluff up towels. I don't use the dryer as it's a complete waste of time. We all suffer with the inside smelling of stale water and mould. I have always had Hotpoint but will think again next time.

Generally A Good Machine

The only think I can really moan about with this machine is that the drying seems to crease things really badly and you cant open the door during drying. Apart from that this machine has been perfect, I love it. Nothing has gone wrong (touch wood)Ive had it for 2 years and it washes very well and dries things when I need it to.

I will be reluctant to get rid of this machine as it has served me well!

Wont Sensor Dry

I bought this machine to replace the older Ultima I had for 5 years. The last 3 years of which I always had engineers as it would not dry. So I bought this machine in Feb 2012 and after some months discovered that the sensor drying was not working. No matter if I choose iron/hanger/cupboard, the cloths always come out bone dry and are too hot to touch.

Hotpoint have been out twice to replace the sensor and then the main circuit board, but it still does not dry according to the selection. The engineer suggested that I should reduce the drying time, which is odd as on sensor drying mode the machine determines the time according to how dry the cloths are.

Broke Down Just After Warranty Expired. Don't Bother!

This appliance has been nothing but problems. We've had it almost 3 years and it's already broken down 3 times - the first time was just 2 months after its warranty expired. Hotpoint clearly build their appliances so that break quickly and you are forced to buy a new item.

Don't bother buying one of these!

Janette Review For Hotpoint Wdd960p

Have had this machine for 14 months.Has now stopped working .The electronics have gone wrong ,just as the guarantee has run out.

The machine switches its self on when it is switched off & other strange things. There is a 5 year parts guarantee, but this costs you over £100 for them to come out to you. will not use hotpoint again.I think a washer dryer that has light uses should last a lot longer than 14 months

Worst Washing Machine And Customer Service Ever

WASHING MACHINE HAS SEVERELY BROKEN DOWN 4x IN UNDER 16 MONTHS. IT HAS CAUSED FURTHER DAMAGE TO OUR BRAND NEW KITCHEN WHICH WE ARE STILL AWAITING RECOMPENSE. AND NOW TODAY IT HAS BROKEN DOWN AGAIN WITH A SEVERE ELECTRICAL FAULT WHICH LUCKILY WE HAD A TRIP SWITCH ON THE CIRCUIT WHICH COULD OF BEEN A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE.

CURRYS AND HOTPOINT AFTER HOURS OF CORRESPONDENCE APPEAR EITHER UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO RESOLVE THIS WITH ME FOR A FULL REFUND OR REPLACEMENT PRODUCT DESPITE MY LEGAL ENTITLEMENT.

I AM NOW HAVING TO CONTACT THE OFT AND MOST LIKELY SMALL CLAIMS COURT TO RECEIVE MY ENTITLEMENT

BE WARNED IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS MODEL OR USING CURRYS - AFTER SALES TEAM IS ASTONISHINGLY POOR

IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANY STORIES PLEASE POST AS I WILL DIRECT THE OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING TO HERE FOR FURTHER EXAMPLES
