I Have Had This Hotpoint Ultima Washer For 5 Years
I have had this Hotpoint Ultima washer for 5 years now and I have finally given up on it! The machine looks stylish and gets clothes clean, but in the time I have had it I have had many, many items of washing ripped by this washer. I have had delicate items like net curtains ripped and I have also had towels ripped and countless shirts and blouses ripped. New T shirts have many small holes in them and towels and cutains have long rips in them (more than 12 inches.) I have been in touch with Hotpoint about this and they say I am spinning clothes at too fast a speed! This is a fob off for I have spun clothes at a low speed and they still get ripped! This machine has a very bad design fault the water inlet holes are raised and have sharp edges this is obviously ripping the clothes. Prior to purchasing this washer I had a Zanuss1 for 12 years and it never gave me any problems at all. I have now dumped the Hotpoint and bought another Zanussi. Before I bought it I inspected the drum very carefully and observed the water infill holes are at a much lower profile and do not have any sharp edges. Do not touch this washer with a barge pole! I know I will never buy anything from Hotpoint again!
