HOTPOINT WASHER/DRYER WD440G THE ONLY THING IT MATCHES THE COLOURS OF THE KITCHEN, 3 YEARS OLD IT IS BANGING VIOLENTLY WHEN GOING INTO SPIN MODE,IT SPARKS JUST INSIDE THE DRUM, AND THIS IS AFTER THE NINTH VISIT BY THE ENGINEERS, LAST VISIT ENGINEER RAMMED CARDBOARD DOWN THE SIDE OF THE MACHINE BETWEEN THE WORKTOP END PANNEL AND THE MACHINE, VERY PROFESIONAL. DONT RELY ON EXTENDED WARRENTIES TOLD BY HOTPOINT THEMSELVES THERE IS NO CHANCE OF A REPLACEMENT. THE ENGINEERS ARE COMPLETELY STUMPED AFTER REPLACEING FULL BACK END (DRUM)MOTOR, HEATER UNIT,FILTER,SUSPENSION (BOTTOM)

PUMP ITS A REBUILT THAT IS STILL BANGING VIOLENTLY WIFE AND I ARE PITTLED OFF WITH IT.

this hotpoint wd440g is the most worthless miscarrige of engineering i have ever seen! ( and i am an engineer).it was unable to wash even half a load without faulting out,the heater element packed up after a few months,it blew 3 control modules,(the brain). other casualties include door interlock,seal and main motor.now , all of these can be replaced under the 5 year parts waranty, but each visit costs £99! we have bought this piece of rubbish twice over in under 4 years.there is no filter to periodically clean, only a useless sump,(wait for it...........at the back of the thing at floor level) not much good if you are not a weightlifter as the engineer wont pull it out. with over a year still to go on the warranty i have had enough. i bought another machine today. guess what! it aint a hotpoint. do not waste your hard earned on this worthless machine!!!

This Hotpoint WD440G broke within 8 months of purchasing it. Hotpoint refused to replace the machine. I obtained an extended warrantee which I have had to pay for.

In less then 2 years, the motherboard has been replaced 4 times. The motor has been replaced twice. I can't use certain cycles as it causes an error on the machine.

The drying performance is terrible.

The Dryer has now stopped working with the added bonus of an adhoc water leak.

Our Hotpoint WD440G is just noisy, broke after 4 months and Hotpoint will not accept any responsibility as we had moved to BFPO Germany. Drying takes twice as long.
