Bought The Aeg Lavamat 16850 And It Has Broken Dow
Bought the AEG Lavamat 16850 and it has broken down two times within the first three months of use.Last failure is the PCB board which will take 2 weeks to order. Highly unreliable machine and not fit for purpose. Do not buy this model.

We Were Initially Quite Happy With The Performance
We were initially quite happy with the performance of the AEG Electrolux Lavamat 16830. However, after about 3-4 months, the vibrations during the spin cycle seemed to worsen significantly, and the machine was very noisy. After owning for only about 8-9 months, we started to have problems with the machine not draining properly. This meant that cycles terminated midway through a run and the machine had to be re-started. This happened once every 4-5 wash cycles. I checked for blockages, but none apparent. In the end, the drain facility packed up completely (after 14 months) and we had to have an engineer come to rectify the problem. Apparently, the circuit board was broken, so the machine thought it was draining when in fact it wasn't. Fortunately the machine was under a 2 year guarantee with John Lewis, so we had it repaired for free. We did have to wait 10 days for repairs to be completed however, which wasn't fun with a 1 year old child (and all the washing he creates!)
