Hotpoint VTD20P

Belt snapped in less than year. Fixed under warrenty. Belt snapped again 13month later. Rang hotpoint as I thought this must be a design fault. They claimed this was not a common problem. Belt failed again 1 yr later drum also catching on casing, rear shaft and bearing completely failed. Changed all seals shaft and bearngs. Just over a year later all have failed again. What absolute rubbish. I will never buy another hotpoint appliance.

Has needed attention and broken down twice now - first time 2007 because drum scaped against the housing - design fault according to engineer; ensure plenty of space at rear of machine (as if!). Fixed that but just 2 years later the drive shaft snaps, breaking the drive belt. Will not get again that's for sure!
