Purchased The Ctd80p ( Told By Hotpoint It's The S

Purchased the ctd80p ( told by Hotpoint it's the same as the CTD80 ) any way would honestly not recommend it I had trouble with it from day 2 ? The thermostat packed in, the water bottle overflowed into the back of machine causing the electrics to fuse ( 3 times ) heating element packed up 3 times. After 3 months was eventually sent another machine, and yes you guessed it the same things happened again ! after several burley hotpoint engineers visited looking at it bemused and a lot of head scratching and part changing ! A ha I thought, they have cracked it ! well it worked for about 6 months, yet more thermostats and heating elements. Finally I have given up and got a new Tumble dryer NOT Hotpoint. So the CTD80P has gone to where it belongs the dump !!

I Have Been Very Unhappy With This Hotpoint Ctd80p

I have been very unhappy with this Hotpoint CTD80P tumble dryer. For many years I have used a vented dryer, I knew by having to go to a condenser dryer it would taken a little longer to dry. What I did not expect was the length of time it takes to dry the clothes they come out either as wet as when they went in or are damp. I dislike the fact you cannot independantly set the drying time for yourself you have to go by their settings. It is claimed you save money on electricity I cannot see how when the dryer has to be on for over two hours, I would sooner return to my old dryer which was a whirlpool and was fantastic and was still in excellent conditon after 8yrs. I have contacted Hotpoint and was passed form one person to another. When the dryer was delivered there was a very tiny dent caused by the dryiver dropping it when he took of the packaging. I agreed to a payment for the damage and was told it would not affect anything to do witht he warranty etc. When I contacted Hotpoint they repeatedly brought up this payment and said they would not do anything until the payment was returned ot them/ and it affected the warranty. So take great care never accept a damaged item in case you have to try and return the item.
