I Bought The Dryer Through Co-opelectrical Direct.
I BOUGHT THE DRYER THROUGH CO-OPELECTRICAL DIRECT. IT ARRIVED ON TIME AS SCHEDULED FOR DELIVERY BUT THE PROBLEM WAS THAT WE COULDN'T GET THE DOOR OPEN. AFTER PHONING THE PREMIUM RATE NUMBER ON THE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET THE ONLY ADVICE WE WERE GIVE WAS TO PUSH AND TUG AT THE DOOR UNTIL IT OPENED OR ALTERNATIVELY THEY COULD ARRANGE FOR A SERVICE ENGINEER VISIT WITHIN A FEW DAYS. SOMETHING YOU DON'T EXPECT WITH A NEW PRODUCT. I DOUBT WHETHER I WOULD EVER BUY A CREDA PRODUCT AGAIN OR INDEED RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

If You Are After A Cheap Dryer, Then The Creda Tvr
If you are after a cheap dryer, then the Creda TVR2 may appear to hit the spot, but unreliable unreliable indeed (yes i meant to say that twice!). Drum shaft has broken 3 times and all i can put this down to is the rubbish drum design and weak rear vented back of drum. It pops in and out and if in it catches the back of the unit screaming the house down. If out works better but still quite a noisy machine and you can be sure it'll pop again, causing strain on the shaft which will then inevitably wear and break fairly quickly. Yes you can get the parts cheap enough, but sure you can find a more reliable dryer without a doubt. Not recommended Creda TVR2 at all sorry we ever bought it.

Could Not Write My Complete Honest Thoughts !!!!!
Could not write my complete honest thoughts !!!!! I have had a front door seal on order since Feb 3rd. Now May 2nd and I am still awaitng the part. I have been NUMEROUS different reasons as to why it is not in stock but never once an apology FOR THE LONG WAIT AND INCONVENINECE. Told part was faulty and returned to manufacturer, then told Creda had a new supplier and part was being tried and tested, then told some did come but went to people who had been waiting longer than 3 months. I dont think I will ever get this ite. It will probably becomes obsolete and I will have to purchase a new machine, not good as mine is not very old

Bought Because It Was Cheap And Simple. Relatively
Bought because it was cheap and simple. Relatively noisy. Expensive to run in a family of 5 because of its simplicity ,my teenage sons quite happily put their urgent clothes in to dry (i.e. one pair of shorts) setting the timer for a crispy two hours.
Door hinge repaired under warranty at 4 Months-to be honest due to our misuse.
Belt snapped at 10 months old -repaired under warranty.
Belt snapped at about 2 years old.
My usual "repairman" has retired so not wishing to pay stupid money for a callout,I bought a replacement belt and tried to fit it myself using brute force.Unfortunately there is a knack and a special lever tool to do this.
Result one gashed arm and a written off dryer which to be honest was otherwise serviceable beforehand .
I would say this dryer was reasonable for the price but would expect a tumble dryer to be trouble free for 3 years at least.
I have now gone to the other extreme and bought a high end A rated sensor dryer with 5 year warranty.

I Have Had This Dryer For 3 Years, Not One Problem
I have had this dryer for 3 years, not one problem, ok its a bit noisy but so what it isnt too bad, heavy used as i have a family of 5, the bolt sheared at the back of the drum so time for a new one, i can get a new dryer that can handle a 6Kg for £119, cheap and cheerful but i think i will be taking the support out after these reviews!!!

Pretty Good Dryer And As We Kept It In The Garage,
Pretty good dryer and as we kept it in the garage, there was no problem with the noise. Good sized drum. It was recommended by local Hoover repair/salesman who has supplied us with white goods for many years so we trusted that it would be good, However...
The belt snapped at 13 months. We don't have a local handyman anymore and I wasn't prepared to pay £100 to have Creda come and fix it so I bought the part off internet. Utter nightmare trying to get the belt back on - its not long enough and I was advised to heat it and stretch it but the drum keeps coming out of it's bearings with the pressure... may have to admit defeat and get a better one. With all the other reviews taken into account, I would NOT recommend this machine.

Complete And Utter Rubbish. Engineer Out Three Tim
Complete and utter rubbish. Engineer out three times in the first year. Unbelievably noisy. Now Creda TVR2 has broken completely at 2 and a half years old. Very lightly used, so no excuse. £100 call out charge so throwing it in the skip and buying a better quality make. Totally false economy buying this machine. Shouldn't even be marketed. Wish I'd read some reviews before I committed my very hard earned money to this piece of rubbish.

Had The Creda Tvr2 Just Over A Year And It Has Bro
Had the Creda TVR2 just over a year and it has broken twice. Belt had snapped the first time and now it has broke again due to another fault to do with the drum.... NOT IMPRESSED! As I have two small children I use it quite a lot so without it I'm really stuck. I know it was a cheap purchase but I suppose you get what you pay for and in this case a pile of junk! With the money I have spent already and the money I need to fix it, I could have bought a better make and model... Be Warned !!

I Had This Creda Tvr2 For 3 Years, It Got Plenty O
I had this Creda TVR2 for 3 years, it got plenty of use (family of 5). We found it to be SERIOUSLY NOISY, at times you would have thought you were drying a load of scrap metal, other times it sounded like you were drying a bag of mice! It was so bad you could not have a conversation in the kitchen if it was on and it could be heard through the whole house.
As for drying, it did the job ok, you put the washing in, turn the knob to the time you want and press start. 2 heat settings but I felt that the cool setting was very hot, sometimes it seemed that the cool setting was hotter than the hot setting - maybe there was something wrong with the button? over the last few months I found that the dryer was not working as efficiently as it had been - half loads of washing were taking over an hour to dry.
Anyway, it went up in smoke at the weekend. I had put it on for 15 minutes to finish out a pair of trousers that were damp off the line. Prior to this the machine had not been on all day (so I know it did not overheat due to extreme use!). 2-3 minutes into the cycle smoke started pouring out of the machine. After diconecting and cooling down my husband took it apart. There was 2 inches of fluff inside the casing, all round the motor and the heater - several wires had melted and there were blacl scorch marks on the back of the machine. Due to hearing so many horror stories about fires caused by tumble dryers I was always very careful to clean the filter every time it was used and I would also pull it out from the wall, hoover the back of it and clean out the vent pipe so I know this was not caused by poor maintenence. Thank God I had not put it on and left the house. My main concerne was that it would set fire to my lovely new kitchen!
Overall I would say if you wanted something cheap it is ok, but it would need serviced regularly to prevent fluff build-up on the inside. I am looking for a new tumble dryer and I'm glad I found this site, because my next dryer will NOT be a Creda TVR02. I hope you find this review helpful!
