Tefal 2940 Turbo Pro Express

The first one leaked after 3 months so I had it replaced and the second has been great.I wouldn't do without a steam iron now. One bad design flaw is that the heat dial moves up and down really easily and it's location just where you wrap your fingers around the handle means that it constantly moves up to maximum heat without you realising. I have burned anumber of items. All they need to do it make it click as it goes up so you know what is happening

I have owned a Tefal steam iron for 18 months but have not used it for 6 months as it emits ateam from the base of the steam generating unit and has on three occasions given a huge bang, sounding like water and electric contacting. I thought the unit had shorted out but it still functioned. I have no wish to use a unit that I feel is unsafe. I am expected to ship the unit to a repair centre in Birmingham. Very inconvenient and expensive.

My wife bought a Tefal Aquaspeed iron less than 14 months ago. The electrical cord appears to be damaged. After reading the reviews here it appears I have to return it to Birmingham! To replace a cord? That's ridiculous. It's not worth the cost and inconvenience. I'll buy another iron - and it won't be a Tefal!

The Tefal 2940 Turbo Pro Express removes creases fairly effectively and refilling is easy. Too often water comes out wetting the garment. We have had two and both stopped the steam function just after a year.

If the product was more reliable, this would be a hot product ie. value of money in terms of price and performance. Overall this is a disappointing product. I would recommend a Laura Star iron ( my last Laura Star lasted 11 years using tap water!)

On my Tefal 2940 random bursts of water are emitted in any direction besides its steam output, could scald the unwary or passer by. Do not let children anywhere near it.Now stopped making steam, its not a year old am trying to sort this out with Tefal.

The Tefal 2940 Turbo Pro Express is more effective in ironing than laundry and more stonge. But the excessive steam produce noisy sound from bottom of it

Was a proud owner of a Tefal 2940 Turbo Pro Express until just after the warranty expired. The steam stopped generating, i did all the normal troubleshooting guides like flushing the system after every ten uses. I continued using the iron but the steam would not come out. Now it's broke, not sure if i will go for another steam generated iron. No after sales available for me as I live in Malta and there are no recognised dealers here-too expensive to ship back to UK for repair. Can't face ironing anymore, anyone got any suggestions for a reliable quick way of ironing? We are a family of four with 2 children.

I was very happy with my Tefal 2940 Turbo Pro Express until the plate would not get more than warm after 18 months light domestic use. After sales were not helpful because the steam iron would need to be shipped to Birmingham UK. I need a first stop engineer to access the problem.
