In My Opinion The Morphy Richards 42272 Is A Poor

In my opinion the Morphy Richards 42272 is a poor relation to the steam generators of a few years ago where the steam was generated in the iron rest and delivered trough the hose as and when required. The modern iron to me is nothing more than a glorified water pistol that squirts water on to the iron sole plate from a base reservoir. The technology is going in reverse. I have had to repair my old Tefal whilst I find a steam iron that generates STEAM ain't a usable form.

Tried A Large Retailer's Own Brand Generator And I

Tried a large retailer's own brand generator and it was no good so changed for this Morphy Richards 42272 and very pleased with it. It makes the job much easier and quicker. Didn't realise that you have to replace filter so regularly (every 6 weeks) but as my ironing is limited to an hour or so a week think it would be more useful to know how many hours worth you can do before changing it as some people iron everything in sight but I'm not one of them. Do take some cupboard room for storage but overall I would prefer this to conventional iron.

I Had A Tefal Before But Couldn't Justify Paying A

I had a Tefal before but couldn't justify paying an extra £100 for another one over the cost of this iron. Pressure not quite as good (manufacturer's info on steam generator irons makes comparison difficult). Good iron for price. No problem with drips.
